20 month old climbing out of crib
What do I do? My DD learned on vacation how to climb out of the hotel pack and play (I found her knocking on patio door lol) now that we are home she fully scales and climbs out of the crib! I feel like she is still sooo young! She has no idea how to sleep in a bed. If I ever try her in ours she doesn't go to sleep..and she is in a pack and play at the babysitters no bed there for her.
Any suggestions? I feel like a crib tent would freak her out. Are there crib extenders to make it taller??

We just had the same problem at 21 months old. For me it was about his safety first so we switched him to a toddler bed. It took about a week to adjust and now he is a pro. I was a nervous wreck about him being in the bed. We did extra baby-proofing in his room and put pillows on the floor next to his bed. We shut his door when he is sleeping and also put a gate up outside of his door. He is very proud to be sleeping in a bed since we made a very big deal out of it.

Thanks!! I am concerned b/c her sound machine and a/c are plugged in so how do I baby proof those outlets? Does he still nap ok in the bed??

We have a dresser in front of an outlet and I have somethings plugged in back there. I didn't even think about the a/c yet.
Naps have been going pretty well. A few times he just refused to nap and played, read books, etc the whole time but I pushed his naptime back a little bit so he's really tired and it seems to work.

hi,
dont worry my son jumped out of his sleigh crib at 16 mnths..he literally learned how to clim out..we switched the bed into a toddler got a rail and he just learned how to sleep...the problem is he likes our bed instead lol
