20 week hospital test
I have a test scheduled for Monday at the hospital and we are finding out if we are team pink or blue. I am so bad with details. Do you think this is the 3D/4D test? I've been reading some posts that said you had to pay for them out of pocket.
And if you've had the 3D/4D test what is it like? A tummy ultrasound? Or is it internal to get such good images?
Just curious. Thanks a bunch!

the 20 week ultrasound at the hospital is your level 2. it is not the 3d/4d. that is seperate and i'm pretty sure that you have to get permission from your OB.

Yep it's your level two and it is a tummy sono not an internal. Not a 3D or 4D

Whether they'll do a 3D sono depends on the machine that they have there. When I had to go to a specialist to follow up on a complication seen in our anatomy scan at 19 1/2 weeks, they actually were able to switch the machine from 2D into 3D mode. It's an external sono, not internal.
We didn't have to pay any extra for the pictures they took on it when in that mode (you can see them in my album). It was way too early to get an accurate photo of the baby, but it was still very cool. We didn't want to have pay for a 3D sono, so it was exciting we got that one picture, even if it was only because of the complication.
Good luck at your appointment! You'll get to see your LO and get new pictures, too!

tummy...and 2d and 3d/4d depend on the type of machine the have.
the hospital i go to, the machine can do 2d and 3d/4d....so at my 12week appointment the tech did both which i was super happy about because she gave me and DH pics in both the images
