20 Week Scan
I had my 20 week scan and found out we are having girls.. DH and I are so excited all our close friends and family have boys so it will be great to have two girls around.
Everything looked good, but I was advised my cervix was shortening it was just above the borderline for needed a cerclage stitch so i have to go back next week to see if the numbers changed for better or worse. OB told me to just rest a lot and no activities for now.
Has anyone had experience with this where they didn't need to get the stitch b/c cervix got better from resting?

Congrats to you and DH. My cervix started to shorten at 26 weeks and was just advised to rest but as a precaution was given the steroid shots at week 27. I never got stiched and just stayed off my feet for 2 weeks. Then everything looked good at my next followup exam but they kept a close eyes on me. In the end everything was fine I delived at 36 weeks and my cervix only went down to 1.0 cm .....Good luck and try to rest as much a possible

ok thanks for sharing. it makes me feel a little better. i plan on just relaxing this weekend, its kinda chilly out so it makes it easier to stay in,

congrats!!
i have a cerclage now.. since i had a short cervix with my last pregnancy.
i just highly recomend you to make sure you get montored often !! its very serious, and make sure you stay in bed!!
