I don't own any of those cars, but I would stick with the Honda or Toyota. I find they're the most reliable cars around.

No, but I saw the Yaris and it was cute. Not expensive either.

My BIL had an earlier version of the accent and it is SMALL. He quickly switched up.
We were looking at the elantra last year and it too was small. My friend has a Kia Rio. It's ok. I'm not a fan of hyundais and kias. I know the price is good, but I feel you sacrfice materials quality

I personally would stick Toyota or Honda, but I would never buy a new model the first year.
My friend has had a Hyundai for years and never had any problems. She has an Elantra.

The New Hyundais and Kia's are probably built better than a honda. I have owned 6 honda's in my life and 1 Kia. We have an 06 Sportage. It is a well made SUV. Very tight...No rattling, and no problems. JD Powers rated this vehicle one of the top Small SUV's for 2006. It beat out the CRV and the RAv4.
The New Rio and the Accent got excellent reviews for 2006, plus they have a 10 year 100k warranty....Honda and Toyota cannot do that.
I like the new Yaris - It is really fuel efficient...and good looking too. I would get the hatch over the sedan.....
The Honda Fit is nice too - just over priced. For the same price I could get a civic.....I have already had 3 of those.
I was looking into the SCION XB, XA, & Chevy HHR, but Danielle doesnt like them so I dont know if I would feel comfortable getting one...since she would have to drive them every once in a while....

They're all TINY!! The Yaris is SUPER SMALL (I test drove it) and so is the fit (I got in, but it was manual trans). The Yaris and Fit are European models and are seriously tiny (I call them clown cars). Super cute and cheap, but I would go for a Corolla in a heartbeat instead!

My best friend has an Accent, it's about 4 years old and loves it. DH has a hyundai Santa Fe and the quality is great. He loves it. I think they are building the hyundais' much better now. Sorry I don't know about the other cars.

I like the Kia Sorrento- anyone know anything about these trucks? I have an accord now- bought it used and got a lemon. Im a bit nervous about going from a honda to a kia, but like some said, they are becoming much better vehicles.

I used to work for Toyota in Ireland and my last car there was the Toyota Yaris. Over there is was a totally normal size, especially as gas is twice the price. I loved that car and would definitley consider getting one here.

Hey Scott.. The Yaris hatch is smaller inside than the Scion Xa...just something to think about. It is really tiny. Although I do like it alot & think it is a great economy car

I have seen the Fit and the Yaris in person and they are SMALL, a little too small for me (who drives and loves her Civic).

Don't know about the new model, but I had a rental car that was an Accent not long ago and it felt like I was driving around in a tin can. I wouldn't want to be in an accident in one.

Re: 2007 Toyota Yaris / 2006 Hyundai Accent / 2006 Kia RIO/ 2007 Honda FIT
I would stay away from the Rio - My dad bought a few to use as company cars and can not stand them. He said he would never buy again and all his salespeople complain about them.
My good friend bought a Rio and got into tiny accident. She rearended someone but it was a tiny little tap and there was no damage to the other car. Her car on the other hand was really messed up and needed tuns of work. Imagine if it had been a "real" accident. She didn't even bother fixing the car that was the last straw for her. She sold it as is and bought something else.

i totally love the yaris the price combined with the fuel efficiency make it a great car for our times...
granted- it is small- but it is an ECONOMY car.
oh- i have a ford focus- which i love- the hatch version (by the way I've had my focus since 01 and haven't had one problem, it now has 90k on it- has been driven to florida and montreal :)
any hatch car is for me- I LOVE MY HATCH :)

The 06 will be made by Hyundai - That is the difference...The 04 and 05 were built by KIA.

Can I just ask why are you not considering the Corolla? It's almost the same price as the Yaris and so much roomier.

I can get the yaris Hatch for under $14,000
I want a hatch - If the corolla came in a hatch, I would consider it - I like the Corolla
