Re: 2015 Vacations

Haven't booked anything yet (well we booked Venice for NYE, but that's this year) Chat Icon , but we have some ideas:

Driving from Munich to Serbia. We would go through Slovenia and I think Croatia and spend some time in Serbia.

My mom is coming over in March, so I'm thinking we may go to Budapest.

DH and I talked about doing Cape Town and Vic Falls. I don't know if that's going to happen.

Australia to visit DH's family. I'm not keen on this as we will be seeing his parents twice next year, but that's another story.

A drive across Germany and France-- starting in Munich and stopping in Frankfurt, Dijon, Lyon, a few in between towns that haven't been decided yet, and finishing in the Bordeaux region.

Those are the only things that have been talked about.

We're dying to go back to Hilton Head, SC, so we're tossing around doing that in April.

Re: 2015 Vacations

We just got back from Ireland and Amsterdam, so nothing is planned for 2015 yet.

We've talked about maybe taking advantage of one of those last-minute deals that Jet Blue or Travelzoo will email...do a three-night thing in the Caribbean in Feb or March if the stars align properly.

Other than that, I think that since we just splurged on a dream vacation, 2015 will be low-key. Maybe rent a house in PA for a week in the summer, or go to Maine, something like that.

We have Mexican Riviera booked for Jan. Per LIF recommendation, we are staying at Rosewood Mayakoba. Very excited!

We are leaning towards a Disney cruise for March spring break but afraid of crowds. May opt for Bahamas instead and check out the new mega resort there.

Nothing else yet.

I have friends who have stayed at Rosewood and they RAVE about it!! Have a great trip!!

I'm not sure what our vacation plans are yet but DH and I want to do something fun for our bdays!!..........we both turn 40 next year. We don't want a party or anything like that, we agreed a vacation would be a perfect way to ring in the big 4-0!! Chat Icon

I stayed at that property when it was a Fairmont, years ago. It's very beautiful but a bit big for my taste. I loved our room. It was on a canal and had tons of birds and frogs hanging around.

Going to a wedding in Vegas in May. But since we've been to Vegas recently, will probably do something in the area like Bryce Canyon & Zion National Park or Arizona, with a few days in Vegas

Other than that, nothing big planned since I just started a new job last month

We are going to Scottsdale for spring Break...hopefully we will be able to squeeze in a trip to the Grand Canyon while we are there. If anyone has been and has any tips on where to stay and what to do at GC with dc I would love to hear.

Our 10th anniversary is in May and we would like to go somewhere but we will probably put it off till fall. Thinking either Amsterdam or Paris...

Our kids will love seeing frogs on the resort. I was a bit concerned about lack of activities for the kids.

This is the first vacation for me and not the kids.
