2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
Hey guys! I feel like I do this every year and then fall off. Can we post on this thread goals (daily, weekly etc), accomplishments, meal plans or recipes? Anything that can motivate us to continue our journey. This week I’ve been sick and lazy, so I feel like a thread like this will help with motivation and accountability.

Re: 2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
I will start with my general story:
I am trying to get fit and put my DH in a weight loss healthier living journey. Im concerned with his health. So far since January he has lost 17lbs and is actually sticking to it. I’m so proud of him. We been exercising and for the most part eating right with last week being a little bit of a fail.
This week I worked out 1 day (Sunday) but plan on getting back into it with a kickboxing class tonight. Trying to workout for the next three days to get 4 days this week. DH went running this morning.

2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
I just had my second child, and I was diagnosed with GD during the pregnancy. I also have a family history of type 2 diabetes, so I'm trying to get healthy to prevent or at least delay the potential diabetes diagnosis in my future.
I'm counting calories on MyFitnessPal, which is great, and I'm trying to work out 3 times a week, but it is usually more like 1-2 times a week. Started at 174lbs, and now I'm down to 158lbs. My goal is currently 145lbs, so I'm about half way there!
I love finding support in online communities. The first time I lost weight it was with my sister, and her support was a large part of my success. Now I get that support from places like reddit and here.

Re: 2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
Thank you for this thread.
I’m just trying to put on weight. I’m at 112 pounds (I was 145 before), and I just want to eat and put on weight (I’ve been checked by a doctor already). I’m trying so hard. I’m under a lot of stress, and I tend to lose weight with stress.
My goal is to put on 10 lbs. I had that in December when I visited NY, but when I came home it all went away.

2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
I am looking to get stronger. I have been actively lifting weights for several months now and I can lift more and definitely have more muscle mass. My scale (which I know is not 100% accurate) currently puts me at 35-36% muscle mass.
I am also looking to break 20 minutes in a 5K. My last 5K was 20:30. So close, yet so far.

2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
My goal is to lose weight, but then to be able to maintain it. I separated 7 months ago and I was the highest I've ever been (even higher than when I was pregnant). I've lost 20 so far, but I have 25 more to go before my BMI is considered "normal". I'd like to lose 35 for myself, though.
It's been challenging b/c of the emotion stuff I've been going thru. Hard not to want to eat my emotions, but I'm slowly feeling the benefits of emotions and exercise.

Re: 2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
Just add some more info, I want to lose about 25 more lbs. a few years ago I lost 60lbs and kept it off for 5 years. Then I went back to work full time 3 years ago and stopped working out and ate like a beast. It went all downhill.
I’m happy to say that I did make it to kickboxing last night. I really had to push myself because I had to go there an hour before to talk to my sons instructor about his behavior. Then went back home for 45 min to prep food and help with hwk to go back. I was this close to saying forget it but pushed myself and I’m glad I did.
Day 2 of working out this week!2 more to go!
ETA: I pushed myself and went to kickboxing today .... it was harder than yesterday. 1 more day to go for this week!
Went Saturday to Bootcamp and got my 4 days in!

Funny I want to be at 112-115.
You are the reverse, it’s like when you lose dramatic weight and then it comes back. With your case you were away and probably not as stressed and ate a lot. But then you get back to reality and start not eating etc. I’m rooting for you! It’s going to be hard but hopefully you will find the balance and be able to get to your healthy weight the right way!!

I compete in the NPC. My goal is to get on a National stage this year. I will be doing that in June. Just hoping to bring my best physique to date to that show.

How’s it going everyone?
My workouts have been on point, eating habits not so much. I have to get back into meal prepping and a more rigorous diet. My races are next week, pray for me lol.

Good luck!
I haven't been great with the exercise DVDs but I'm still doing Couch to 5K regularly. I'm still bad with food but I'm down 2 pounds.
Gonna be hard in 2 weeks - I'm going to visit my dad in a tiny nothing-to-do town for a week. He's going thru chemo and radiation so it's going to be a time of emotional and bored eating. I'm going to make sure to continue with C25K since I'll have a lot of time - it's just the temptation of food that's going to be tricky. Although, he's having to use a feeding tube (his cancer is on his neck) so maybe that'll curb my eating in front of him.

I've been good with food, but only worked out 2x this week so far. Haven't seen much movement on the scale, but I try to keep reminding myself that as long as I keep tracking my food and stay under goal for calories there will be movement eventually.

Re: 2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
I’m doing OK. Just trying to make sure I eat full meals. I sometimes order in and eat on the couch . I’m trying my best to get in all my calories, but when I get that urge to eat, I take full advantage of it. I haven’t weighed myself because I think that is unhealthy to do too often. I just eat when I am able to.
I have made a doctor’s appointment to get checked out again, so I’m happy I took that step. Man, anxiety sucks.
I’m happy to read of the other people on this thread and how well they are doing.

Good luck as well with your dad. Sending lots of prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes. Just be there for him and if you can be active then good for you. The best thing is just being there with him and being present in the moment.

Re: 2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
T-minus 5 days we did obstacle fit class today and I’m still not where I should be for the race. Every obstacle you miss is 30 f@ck’n burpees, so I’m mentally prepping myself for all the burpees I will be doing this coming weekend. Although I missed my goal weight for Vegas by 6lbs, I know I’m in a lot better shape than I was two months ago!
Keep it going ladies!!
My exercise plan., eating is not so locked down because I didn’t food shop:
Monday - gym (30m elliptical) Tuesday - Chinese kickboxing Wednesday - gym maybe rumble boxing Thursday - gym (30m elliptical) Friday - walk vegas strip Saturday - race (die) Sunday - race (die if I didn’t die yesterday)

That's a great way to look at things, Sash. I've started taking that attitude also. Time is going to pass, so I should just make the best of it and follow the plan. If I follow the plan yet don't meet my goals I'll still be better off then if I just wasted the time.
Good luck on your race!

Re: 2018 Accomplishments and Goals (Spin off to Accomplishments thread)
How are we doing ladies? Got back from Vegas this morning!
I completed both races on Saturday and Sunday! I realized that my stamina and recovery are so much better. It felt so good to finish the races.
I realized I’m not where I need to be for the big race at the end of April. Time to get in gear and kick it up several notches. My weight is still the same, hopefully I can start shredding some weight.
This week, I’m going to exercise lightly Wednesday- Friday and I have a winter sprint race on Saturday.

That’s awesome that you are doing races. I’ve always wanted to do that, but I always seem to get shin splints when I run.
I’m OK. I haven’t weighed myself (it makes me feel down if I see I’ve lost), but I feel good. I’m just focused on eating. I’ve just decided to do comfort foods until I gain a bit more. I have a hard month this month, and whatever I can shove into my mouth, I do.

How are my ladies doing?
I survived my 3 OCR races, barely. The winter ones. Saturday was a lot harder than I anticipated. I actually slipped on ice and fell on my back. It’s still a little sore but I made it to kickboxing finally. Here are my gym goals for the week:
-Tues. Kickboxing -Wednesday Bootcamp and gym -Thursday kickboxing -Friday bootcamp (maybe gym) -Saturday not sure
practice dead hangs all week.

Oh that sucks, these are obstacle course races so there are periods when you aren’t running. It’s not a straight run like a marathon.

I’ve been eating well, so I’m happy with that. I haven’t weighed myself, but the clothes fit OK. I just need to keep eating. My mom was here, so she made lots and lots of food for me.

I thought I’d check in. I’ve been eating well. I weighed myself and I was not happy with the number (it’s too low).
That being said, I’m going through a lot of stress right now. I just try to concentrate on eating.
