Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals
I am doing a 5k tomorrow evening, not running but walking because of my knee replacements. Running is just too uncomfortable. Hoping the weather holds out. Down 31.8 pounds on WW, a turtle's pace but a loss never the less.

I was really disappointed because it eventually got cancelled due to severe weather. We walked out of the park in a torrential downpour and eventually wound up at a bar drinking. I did log 13,620 steps that day .....

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals
FINALLY!!!
since april, i've been struggling with my weight. i'd lose a pound or two, gain three, lose three, gain two...
this was driving me bat-sh!t crazy. i was starting to feel defeated. so close to my final weight loss goal... i could smell it... yet, i wasn't making any real progress. i was starting to believe that i would never be "normal" weight. there were even days that i would cry when i got on the scale.
i am very, very happy to say that i have gathered myself up and pulled my head out of my fat ass. i am making progress, again.
as of this morning's weigh-in, i have broken through that ******** roller coaster. i currently weigh 146.2. i am 11.4 pounds from my ultimate weight loss goal. i'm starting to feel that i can make this happen... finally!

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals
Today is my last weigh in for the second quarter of 2019 - it's still crazy its moving so fast.
My weight loss is very slow now. I am only down 10 pounds this quarter. 5 more pounds then I'll be a 'normal' BMI. 13 pounds and I'll be at goal. I wouldnt be surprised if I dont make September, and instead it doesnt happen until the end of the year. That's OK.
The last month has been extra difficult mentally as my husband was diagnosed with a life changing illness. So I am using this time to keep on the skills that I've learned the past 2 years to not eat my feelings and regain the weight.
Unfortunately, due to his diagnosis we've also postponed/cancelled my skin removal surgery.

Weight loss has slowed down, but I'm still plugging along. Lost 25 pounds of the 50 of my goal. I'm hoping to be thru the last 25 by September. 15 more pounds and I'll be a normal BMI!
I've also started the process to get the excess skin on my trunk removed.
How is everyone else doing?

My immediate goal is to lose the remaining 50 pounds to be a 'normal' BMI.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals
So my 6 month WW subscription is now up and overall I've lost about 23 lbs (this past week not really counting since I didn't really track when on vacation). I feel like I'm in a bit of a plateau since its been around the same few pounds up and down for the past month. I am switching over to iTrackBites to save some money but hope to eventually get down to my goal which is about 7 more lbs. I am beginning an adult irish dance class on Monday so I'm hoping the increased activity may help with the loss!

2019 Accomplishments and Goals
I've been struggling this year. I lost 30 pounds since my separation in 2017, but I started dating someone in February and I already put 15 back on. I'm committing to 30 "exercise" minutes (the way my Apple Watch calculates it) b/c that's part of how I lost weight before (even though I still ate crappy food). I felt like I was running in buckets of sand last night but I forced myself to continue until the end. I know some days are easier than others so I'm determined to continue.
I can't believe I gained so much back but I'm looking forward to losing it (and more) again.

The weight will come off again with the next “stage” and getting all the paperwork in order. That’s what happened with me. I lost the same amount as you, but started to gain a bit during that in-between phase. Then when all the paperwork came to a head, I lost it again. Now that it is finished, I expect that I will gain some back.
That’s the divorce diet.

LOL - I wish! The divorce went through almost exactly a year ago (July 18). I think I gained the weight back b/c I'm dating someone that isn't particularly active and I wanted to spend all my free time with him. :) I'm forcing myself to have "me time" to exercise b/c I don't like how I feel with the extra weight. I sleep better and my mood is better when I get regular exercise.
Now if I could just not be so tempted by bad food!

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals
I’ve been stalling on my weight loss over the past few months, but that’s because my exercise really dropped off with being so busy at work and with the kids as well as not being as mindful about eating healthy. I just joined Orange Theory Fitness and I love it. Before, I was finding so many excuses to not get up and exercise and was getting bored with doing the same exercise videos. Right now, I’m really motivated and going to 6:00 a.m. classes. Hopefully this will give me the push I need to finally get back to where I was before getting pregnant with #3.

2019 Accomplishments and Goals
I turn 50 at the end of 2020 so I decided to do 50 new things before I turn 50. This week I'm going vegan and I've lost 3 pounds. I'm being mindful of not overeating and not eating junk (since Oreos and potato chips can be vegan). I could never be vegan for the rest of my life b/c queso is DELISH! But I think I'd like to try maybe 2-3 days a week.
Other healthy things on my bucket list include running a 10K (I've done a 5K but it was mostly walking), trying out all the classes at my gym (I've only done 2 since I joined last year), and take a cooking class (probably knife skills).

i am really liking this idea!!
i might modify it for myself.
now... going vegan. i did that a few years ago and i do believe i would be able to stick with it long term, except for when i eat out. i just don't want to be "that" customer.
at this time, i'm mostly vegetarian. every once in a while i'll have a small piece of meat, but i don't feel that i need it or that i even miss it.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals
Today is my last weigh in for Q3.
I only lost 6.8 pounds this quarter, but I'm so close to goal now (7 more pounds to go) that I am not shocked. Plus it seems that there is at least twice a month some special event where I am outside of my normal eating habits. So, I'm happy with it. At this point between my dieting history and current life situations maintaining is still winning for me.
Maybe I'll hit goal by end of the year? I don't know, with the holidays coming it feels sketchy.
I asked my husband to reconsider my skin removal surgery because I"m still dealing with issues from that.
I went and had a resting metabolic rate (RMR) test to see how many calories i burn at rest. That way I have a good idea of how many calories I need for maintenance. Sadly, my body only burns ~1300 calories at rest. So without adding exercise I could only eat about 1500. IT SUCKS! I am eating 1200 now, I was hoping I could go up to 1700 or something.
Week 114 - Lost 193.4 - 6.6 to go!

Your maintenance calories are close to mine, and it definitely sucks. Day to day, it's not so bad, but it means when you do feel like indulging a bit, it really blows your calories quickly. Sometimes I just need to be able to have a burger and fries, but just that can be my maintenance calories (or more) for the day. But it's all give and take once your reach maintenance. I may have gone over this weekend, but I'll cut back this week to hopefully balance it out.
