21 month old - tried to stop the bottles
Well I've posted before that my DD still drinks 2 bottles a day (one first thing in the morning and one at bedtime).
So this morning I just decided to warm up her milk (she only likes her milk warm, grrrr) but put it in her new favorite straw sippy cup.
She took one sip, said NO and that was it.
Ugh .... now what do I do??

Re: 21 month old - tried to stop the bottles
DD is 15 months. REFUSES milk in her sippy too. Drinks her sippy of water FINE throughout the day. As soon as she realizes there is milk in there- throws it.
Ped told me to do it cold turkey. She may get no milk for a few days but will eventually realize its the sippy of milk or nothing and will drink it, so he says.
Im so afraid to do this because if I know my daughter she wont drink any milk anymore once I do this...but I need to. Going to do it really soon.
I know how hard/frustrating it is

Re: 21 month old - tried to stop the bottles
DD is 20 months and still gets 2 bottles a day. Ped isn't concerned until 2 and as long as her teeth are brushed after i'm okay with it too. We've tried several times, she flat out refuses to drink her milk from anything other than a bottle. I've tried making it chocolate milk, giving it warm, ice cold, it doesn't matter. I'm going to try to get her down to 1 bottle at night and then when she's 2 just go cold turkey.
