23 weeks with pelvic pain
could it just my pelvis stretching? i'm having sporadic sharp twinges on my right side near my pelvic bone. it happens once and a while but it hurts like a you-know-what when it does. usually all i have to do is stop what i'm doing (usually standing or walking) and it stops but if I start again too soon, it hurts still. Is this normal? im not taking tylenol for it b/c i hate meds. but occasionally i put an ice pack on which helps a little.
anyone else have this or something similar?

Re: 23 weeks with pelvic pain
Have you had enough water to drink? I was in the hospital with dehydration because I thought I was losing the baby that is how painful it got.

Re: 23 weeks with pelvic pain
sounds like it could be Sciatica, if its only one one side. Its common in pregnancy. Look it up, lots of articles on it.

i drink around 70 fl oz a day, but I also pee an insane amount which is what they think caused the dehydration to begin with. Maybe try drinking a little more than your usual amount and see if that helps at all.

Re: 23 weeks with pelvic pain
I'm 32 weeks and have been having pelvic pain for a while now. I don't remember when exactly it started, but mine is not going away, it's getting more painful. Mine might be different than yours because I don't get it when I'm walking or standing. I get it when I get up from a sitting or laying position, and when I'm laying in bed at night. My Dr. didn't tell me what it is, but basically said it's not going to go away until after the baby is born. I also think my pelvis is stretching, but I have a bunch of pregnant friends and none of them are getting this pain. I can't complain too much though, it's the only thing that bothers me, and it's usually tolerable. The best relief I get is from stretching my legs regularly and sitting on the birth ball.

that sound like symphysis pubis dysfunction
I did a lot of research on pelvic pain because I was suffering so much from it and no one could tell me what was wrong with me.
my pelvic pain started at 12 weeks and got really intense, doctors didn't understand why I was having this kind of pain so early. Now, I see a physical therapist and do simple exercises and I'm completely pain free.

Re: 23 weeks with pelvic pain
There is a physical therapist in my neighborhood. If it worked for you, I think it would be worth giving him a call!
