So I'm assuming you are North of Sunrise? (reason I'm asking is because there are places both north and south of sunrise to rec.) I lived in Merrick. You're going to love it!

Yes I do. So far it's taking getting used to but I'm getting used to it more and more each day. I'm a city girl and dont have a license.  That will be changing very soon!!!!!!!

I grew up in Bellmore It's a great town good luck!
Best pizza--Picallo's in the king kullen shopping centre on sunrise hwy.
Bagels-Bagel Boss merrick road merrick
Hair--Metro Hair Modes Mark the owner is a sweetheart and very talented,They do nails and may do threading.
Tanning???I am sure there are a million places.
Chinese-Kwong ming ,Not sure of the address.
Oh and if you have never been the very best burgersand fries are at The ALL AMERICAN on merrick road in massapequa.
The village of Bellmore,on Bedford ave.also has wonderful little shops and fabulous restaurants.Every friday night when the weather is good they have a vintage car show in the parking lot.This draws a real eclectic crowd and is loads of fun to walk around after a nice meal or or a movie.
The people are so nice in Bellmore ,and very eclectic.I miss it. But go back all the time since my family lives there.

Oh and the tattoo parlor Lone Wolf draws the occasional celeb.Once Brian Setzer was getting tattooed and came next store to the bar that was ther to give an impromtu concert

I can give you Chinese and Pizza.......cuz DH is from that area and we used to order from these ALL the time.
Splendid (Chinese) on Newbridge Road in Bellmore (deli is also next door to it).
Super Pizza on Bellmore Road.......not the fanciest pizzeria.......but I honestly think they make the best pizza.
(All of these are North of Sunrise Highway by just a few blocks in).
Oh I forgot nails..........Fantastic Nails.....on the corner of Camp and Merrick Avenue.........I beleive thats considered Merrick. (also north of Sunrise)

or

I love the nail place, on Merrick road in bellmore
Its called Blue Nails...they do an amazing job, and by far the best manicures and pedicures and massage, and i have been to tons and tons of nail salons.
I Will always go there!!!!
Its next to signature florist!

Threading? Believe it or not, I've heard good things about the women in the Source Mall, right outside the food court.
Chinese? Eng's on Merrick Rd in Bellmore or Chung Hing in the King Kullen shopping center on Sunrise in Bellmore

Nails? Dont remember the name...but it's the one in the Starbuck's parking lot off Merrick Ave.
Hair? I get my hair done at Salon Osio in Oceanside
Food Shopping? I use Stop and Shop in Bellmore off of Jerusalem
Chinese? Don't know the name of this either but it is in the Blockbuster shopping center off Merrick Ave. Their food is great!

Q, as you know I don't live in your area just take the train to Bellmore but my favorite food store is in Wantagh (very close to the Bellmore train station and Bellmore in general...
You can always see me in there...it is called Iavarone Brothers (italian supermarket) which has great meats, fish and delicious prepared foods....check them out, you will love them.....

Pizza: Umbertos (in the cherrywood shooping center right off Jerusalem ave in wantagh...best sicilian pizza and chix parm they deliver too)
Nails: Diva nails in the cherrywood shopping center
Hair: Karma in Merrick on jerusalem ave, she does my color an cut ...love her
Bagels: bellmore Bagels its on the corner of jerusalem and bellmore ave
Food SHopping : I find the best deals at stop and shop on jerusalem ave
The rest I dont know about...Good Luck

Pizza? - Milos - its in the Stop and Shop shopping center on the corner Hewlett Av and Smith St (You also see a sign for it off of Merrick Ave/ Smith Street - near Chatteron elementary)
Hair? - Vanity or Marje' both on Merrick Ave near Chatterton El
Bagels - BAGELMAN!!!! (Merrick Ave and Hewlett) You will not be disappointed
Food Shopping? - I like the stop and shop in Bellmore (I think its on Jerusalem? Not sure since I dont live there anymore).

I live in S.Bellmore and have most of the same answers....except I don't like Eng's on Merrick Road.
For Hair - I go to Aura on Merrick Rd across from the duck pond. I use to go to Anthony Cole but they closed and relocated the hair dressers there.

I live very close to the N. Bellmore border...
i like stop and shop on Jerusalem ave..
Mamma Ginas pizza accross from said stop and shop.(best grandma pizza ever!!)
and someone mentioned kwong Ming for chinese..that is also on Jerusalem but in wantagh..its not far at al l though and they have really great food!
for threading, depending on where you live..If you live north of sunrise hwy Pooja salon on gardiners ave in Levittown is not far at all and they do a very good job for an amazing price!!

Chinese take out- Po Sing - next door to Anna's
Bakery- Taste Of Home
Nails and hair- Karma in N. Merrick- Jen for nails, Jenny for hair, all are good there.
bagels- Bellmore Bagel cafe
