24 Weeks Today and over it

Ladies,

Can anyone relate? I am 24 weeks today and when I look at the calendar I don't know how I will make it 16 more weeks. I am so done being pregnant/uncomfortable and ready to meet my baby.

I am a bit concerned that I am hitting this wall so early on - does anyone have any advice? A fast forward button perhaps? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

PS...I just need to mention that I know how lucky I am to be pregnant, but on a day-to-day grind basis, I'm just starting to lose energy/excitement.

24 Weeks Today and over it

I'm 22 weeks and I can't say that I'm done (yet), but I am definitely feeling uncomfortable. I am over the killer heartburn that lasts all day and nothing helps. I'm feeling huge. I don't remember feeling like this so early with my first pregnancy. Hang in there!!

I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow, and I know how you feel. (This is my second time at this rodeo) I haven't hit the wall yet in terms of being done, that comes in about 10 weeks! Chat Icon

I'm starting to get that PITA heartburn where I need to swig from the Gaviscon bottle, Sciatica pain is at an all time high, I'm also hungry all.the.time. and never satisfied!

I'm 30 weeks on Wednesday, the time was flying by but now it is at a stand still. I feel like the first trimester is so quick and the last two take forever!

Re: 24 Weeks Today and over it

Im 28 weeks and while I don't feel 100% over it, I do anxiously await being able to move and breathe easier again. I do love feeling the baby move more often now though and I try to look at the positives. This is one time in my life I do not have to suck in my stomach and I am embracing the last 2 or so months of being able to relax and nap when I want.

I'm done. Im only 28 weeks and I'm so over it. I def didn't feel this way with my first. I think I made it up until 34 weeks last time, then I was done. I'm cramping everyday. I can't move fast anymore. All I want to do is lay down. I lose my breathe easily. I just feel big all around. I just don't feel like my normal self. I won't her here already. I want to get into a routine! I've been complaining for a couple weeks now. Glad to know I'm not alone!

24 Weeks Today and over it

Soon enough you'll be a few months PP and you will miss your bump and feeling so close to your little one. There are different walls you hit, they can come and go. Just keep remembering the longer your little one cooks, the healthier he/she will be! And, take it from me, if you are working full time, the SECOND you feel it getting to be too much, stop. I made the mistake of keeping going and I swear that that is the main reason I developed pregnancy hypertension and was induced at 35 & 1/2 weeks (blood work showed was NOT preeclamptic, just pregnancy hypertension). I am 100% certain that if I had stopped working the week prior, when I felt the pressure of it all too much, I would not have been in such a bad situation.

Re: 24 Weeks Today and over it

Ummm...I am 16 weeks and have felt this way since about week 10. I am obviously blessed to be pregnant but I just don't enjoy it. Didn't the first time with my son either. I just keep reminding myself that it's all temporary and well worth it! Hang in there mama!

ETA: I remember feeling my best in the last trimester. I had a huge burst of energy and the end went super fast for me! Hope that happens for you!

I'd be fine if I wasn't coughing all the time. Now thinking this cough is pregnancy related I am SO DONE with this! 30 weeks tomorrow. Thank god I'm only going to 38.

24 Weeks Today and over it

So far I enjoyed weeks 5-7, 14-24 and that is it.

I keep saying to DH, take this with a grain of salt because you know how bad I wanted this (took us over 4 YEARS) but I hate being pregnant.

Re: 24 Weeks Today and over it

Yeah, I can understand, this pregnancy has been tougher for me than the last one was. Mostly just things I had only in the 8th-9th month last time (swelling, hemorrhoids, heartburn, just general heaviness) are starting a lot earlier this time plus the exhaustion is worse this time. But actually I like being pregnant so I'm not feeling anxious to get it done. The only really inconvenient things are having to stand a long time every afternoon on the subway (waiting & then on the actual train) kills my back & legs, and being uncomfortable bending over to clean or pick things up (I've started just sitting on the floor to do these things at home). And the Charlie horses in the middle of the night....aaah!!! On the whole though it's all ok & feeling the baby in there is just the best... I try to enjoy the good stuff as much as possible. Hope things get better for you!!!

I think I will be in the minority but I am almost 24 weeks and while I am getting uncomfortable and the heartburn makes me cry every night, and the throwing up has started again, I am not feeling "done." This is my last pregnancy and it was a long 2 years of struggling with infertility to even get me here so I am embracing it and enjoying it as much as I can. Because before I know it, it will be over and I will long for the kicks and movements and aches and pains of this little life inside me. Hang in there ladies!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

it's too early to be over it, lololol! Try and hang in there. I'm 32 weeks and feel your pain. I've found the 3rd trimester to be the hardest and slowest. My back hurts all day every day and I almost pee myself every time the baby kicks!
