I was actually at a friend's house for lunch last year and there was a grandfather there giving his granddaughter Coke. She was about eleven to twelve months old. Guess some people still do give them soda.

They still do, there was a special Diane Sawyer did a little while ago about a town near where she grew up, and how the whole town is addicted to Mountain Dew, they don't buy the babies milk, but they give them Mountain Dew.
Disturbing, some funny, but wow, what a window into a culture!
