2nd Beta done...didnt exactly double
Went Tuesday for my first beta at 21 days past IUI and the beta was 2159 with a progesterone of 23.3,
Went this morning for a follow up beta and it came back at 3311 and a progesterone of 23.5
so of course im freaking out cause the # didnt exactly double but it did go up 66% and the nurse said when the #'s get higher they dont double within 48 hours as fast.
They have me coming in Tuesday afternoon for a sono b/c they think w/ the #'s being on the higher end there might b two in there....according to the nurse.
Just wish I could calm down.

i went through the same thing, freaking out because betas didn't double but so far everything is ok (knock on wood).

Same thing happened to me. My first was 141 second was 186! I was so scared the third wouldn't double, but it did and then some. Some people double a little later than 48 hours. I think the average is 48-72 and I was in that 72hr range. I also had a late implantation of a second baby. All this throws the numbers off. Just try to relax. I know I know, so much easier said than done. I worry every single day about something.

Just like you my numbers were going up but not exactly doubling either and I was FREAKING out........long story short my son was born 8 months later

My numbers slowed down similarly once I got above 2,000. I am almost 20 weeks! Good luck - things are probably fine!

Yeah that doubling thing only really is important when you are earlier like CD12+ a week. You are way past that. Good luck!!!
