2nd child question
I have a lot of receiving blankets and burp cloths from Jiavana. Most of them are in brand new condition because I do wash so frequently that I hardly ever get to the end of the basket.
Is it wrong to use pink/purple burp cloths on ?
I'm trying to figure out what we really need and what we can get away with reusing.
Also, are there any other diaper rash cream uses? lol I have so many of them and I still haven't even used 1.

Nah keep the burp clothes that you have. It's only burp clothes so who cares about the colors...
Just get what you absolutely need...

Re: 2nd child question
We reused everything we could because they were close in age.
I think the only thing I couldn't was the nipples & the pacifiers (not that Maddie would take her thumb out of her mouth long enough for a pacifier.)
We had plenty of girl clothes from my sister but occasionally Maddie would wear a pair of jean carpenter pants.

Re: 2nd child question
We reused most everything. I did give away some of the obvious boy items, but kept most of the newborn stuff.
I never used an ounce of diaper rash cream with my son. He never had one! But with my DD, she has such sensitive skin, we use tubs of it each month! Definitely keep it, you never know!

Re: 2nd child question
We had a DS first, and now DD is wearing quite a lot of blue stuff... burp cloths are just for cleaning up, so color is irrelevant. If you are concerned about what other people think or say, just keep the pink stuff for home, and use the white/yellow/green/blue stuff for when you leave the house. That's what we often do.

Re: 2nd child question
lol i don't have any yellow/white/green or neutral colored stuff. I went girl crazy when I first found out it was a girl. I guess it isn't the end of the world. They are for spitup.

I would use what you have - don't sweat the color.
I have some bottles for DD that are blue, green or yellow and I use those bottles at home and save the pink & purple ones for when she is out. Makes me feel better anyway!

Re: 2nd child question
When we are at home Andy has worn quite a few pink bibs, used pink bottles, etc. Nobody sees, so who cares. When we are out we use blue, yellow, green, etc.

Re: 2nd child question
My DS sleeps in a pink sleepsack when the yellow one is in the wash....so I'm going to vote that it's fine to use the pink & purple burp cloths. Def save yourself that money - no need to spend it for something like that.
