2nd + time moms-to-be

are you planning on buying new items for the 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) baby?

I want a new highchair, I'll need a double stroller, new bedroom furniture, etc?

I feel silly wanting new!

absolutely not. We don't have many new things for #1..

she got the pack N play, stroller, clothes new. Everything else is hand me downs.

#2 will be 17/18 months apart so everything is already had! Unless it's a boy...then he'll need new clothes.

Re: 2nd + time moms-to-be

We don't plan on it. DD and #2 will be 14 months apart so everything will be still very new. The only thing we will need are clothes if it's a boy.

Those double strollers seem so cumbersome. By that time gianna will be old enough to sit in carts while we shop, we always do errands together anyways. One of us will push the stroller or if there is no cart, I have 2 strollers right now too that will be in use. Unless I find a nice, not so heavy and cumbersome stroller at a consignment shop.

We do need another crib since DD has a lifetime crib now that goes with her set and will stay hers.

ETS: If i had a house and some extra money i would def go all new with furniture another highchair and a new strollerChat Icon

Re: 2nd + time moms-to-be

I bought things for Jeremy that I didn't have with Emma and after being a BTDT I was looking for things that if Ihad with Emma would have made my life easier.

With baby #3 I have a new Bouncy seat (Emma broke the old one we had) and a new diaper bag but that's about it.

yes, we will get new furniture and some new items that are out now (it's been and will be 3-4yrs since we had our daughter and had my first shower)
Also will get a new stroller and if it's a boy all new clothes.

Yes, since my 2 will only be 15months apart there is going to be some overlap. I plan on getting new crib and furniture, double stroller andcar seat. I am also going to get new bottles. Can't think of anything else right now??

Don't feel silly for wanting, if you can swing it then do what you like.

Ours will be about 20 months apart. I will be getting a new crib, double stroller and infant seat. We are having another boy, so we'll be using a lot of the same things.

Re: 2nd + time moms-to-be

It depends on the sex of #2. We are keeping all the big stuff, but we will need a double stroller, and probably clothes, and a few things we didnt get with our first.

DD will be 20 months when the new baby is born. I hope I don't have to buy too much since they'll be so close in age, but...

I will definitely buy all new bottles, burp cloths and onesies.
Unfortunately, I will probably need a double stroller, but am dreading that.
Will need additional toddler carseat when the time comes.
I am going to try to borrow a crib, I think. She'll be too young for a toddler bed??
Otherwise, I think we're fine. We didn't know Katherine's gender, so we have a lot of unisex clothing in case this one is a boy. Also, if it's anything like last time, we'll be getting a ton of new gender-specific clothing as gifts.

Re: 2nd + time moms-to-be

I used the crib we had for my son but my mom bought her her dresser/ changing table/hutch combo because my son had all that which was hand me downs so dont have them for her. basically the only new things we got for him we are still using for her anything else we need we will buy. we are looking into a double stroller and stuff like that.

I don't plan on buying anything new except for clothes if we have a girl. I feel like my DS barely used any of the things we bought for him.

Same here. My baby clothes are so "boy" that if this is a girl we will need some new stuff. I also want to get a new bouncy seat.

We are buying all new things since our first will be 6 when this one arrives and we simply don't have those things anymore.
