Re: 2nd time (or more) moms....question
I did 8 loads of laundry and the washer and dryer were in the basement so I went up and down those stairs like 100 x's 8 hrs before I went into labor

Re: 2nd time (or more) moms....question
I was 11 days late....so when I went for my internals...my doctor stripped my membranes. Two days later I had lost my mucous plug and my water broke.

Re: 2nd time (or more) moms....question
haven't gone into labor on my own YET....my 2 were elected inductions
ETA: I had my membranes stripped BOTH TIMES and it did NOTHING
#1 was because we hit our due date and I got stuck at 2 cm
#2 was induced to make life a little easier with having someone to watch DD
#3 we're hoping to induce after the IL arrive so they can take care of the kids and not disrupt their daily routine too much

With dd, lots and lots and lots of walking.

Re: 2nd time (or more) moms....question
I was moving furniture, putting the crib together, and painting the nursery till 11:30 pm. Two hours later I woke up and was having contractions and was 4 cm dilated. Four hours after that my was here. As I was helping move mattresses and stuff, I even turned to Chris and said.. "You just watch, baby will be here tomorrow with all this work that I am doing." And sure enough... he was. He came a little early at 37 weeks

Re: 2nd time (or more) moms....question
I didn't do anything - he was ready when he was ready.
I ended up needing an emer. cs, but I had my contractions for 24 hrs. before we even started pushing.
the baby will let you know...

Re: 2nd time (or more) moms....question
DH and I had gone out to the mall and walked around all day, then, went for a walk (in the bitter cold) that night. The next morning I woke up feeling funny and started timing contractions a little while later.

even though I am having another c-section, I wouldn't mind if she came a bit earlier than when I am scheduled!
