3 brother free form semi-inground pool
any one have this pool from them?
I priced it out Sunday- I am about to put a deposit down
I searched every pool installers website for something similar and it doesn't exist
my contractor thinks the price is crazy- but I don't agree
looking for any feedback! thanks!

Re: 3 brother free form semi-inground pool
The pool company we are using for our inground (theydid my parent's inground 25 years ago and all their maintenance throughout the years until they sold their house a few years ago) do semi-inground. We were actually planning to do semi and decided to do in.
You can call them for estimate maybe? I definitely think you would get a better pool from them, better quality.
FM if you want more info!

Re: 3 brother free form semi-inground pool
thank you- these look like regular above ground pools that they put in the ground- I don't want that- it's not the right way to do it and above ground pools are not designed for this-

3 brother free form semi-inground pool
I just wanted to say Gus Pools is very good reputable company, they are based in my neighborhood and many friends and neighbors have used them for years and all are happy with their service. (Including the house we bought, it is a Gus Pool)

they absolutely are not regular above ground pools... i know that for a fact. Since we were going to do our semi with them we went through those details. They will not make a semi out of an above ground ever cause it is completely wrong! But I don't know if they do the fancy shape!
They pride themselves on doing everything the right way

They are great! I grew up in Whitestone! There was no question on who we were going to use when we decided to get our pool. My parent's used them for everything with their pool forever!

Re: 3 brother free form semi-inground pool
I'm curious - what's the cost of the semi inground in comparision to a full inground? and benefits?
We are looking into installing a pool in a ew years (after bathrooms, kitchen and mason work is done )
I just curious of the pricing

Re: 3 brother free form semi-inground pool
the main benefits are for me-
I don't need a variance on my property and my already high taxes won't go up
I get the look I want- at half the price
I am gutting the entire house and this just makes sense to me

Re: 3 brother free form semi-inground pool
If you want some more estimates, try Modern Comfort pools. They do inground and semis- the correct way. Not sure about free form but worth a try. They were excellent.

Re: 3 brother free form semi-inground pool
I have checked every website of every pool maker on LI
no one has anything but oval or round
it's too big of a deal to settle- if I settle I know I will hate it
I was budgeting for an in ground pool- but I found out a need a variance- this is the next best thing to me

Have you checked out a fiberglass pool?
I have no experience with them, but drive past this place every day and am intrigued.

fiberglass pool
it looks great- but doesn't solve my issue - I can't do in ground with out a variance and I am not going to fight that battle - it's not my forever house

Can I ask...how much cheaper is it for a more traditional shape? (Although I love the free form! )

Ours was $13K but that was 10 years ago. It included all permits, electrical work for the equipment, and a cedar deck built around it. I am not sure if that $19K includes all that brick work around it.

Re: 3 brother free form semi-inground pool
the $19K does NOT include the pavers
the pool alone is $11K
the install is $4500
and the rest is the equipment and steps etc

My husband is in the pool business and that sounds awfully high to not be including the brickwork.
ETA: I asked him what he thought of the price. He said it's higher then what it should be but because they are the only ones that do this they can pretty much charge what they want and they know it.

It's definitely high. You can get a regular inground pool for the same price. I guess the savings in taxes is worth it?? The pavers is going to be another few grand around it too.
