3 days a week, 35 minutes a shot??
is this enough working out on the elliptical and or stepper thing to lose weight??? i hate working out and this is about all i can muster.

I'm thinking probably no--that sounds like a plan to work on maintenance, not losing. You'd want to do more than just cardio, and work on mixing up your routine by incorporating weights/running, etc. Generally I find that 3 days a week, 35 minutes a shot makes me stay the same. Combined with diet, 4 days a week of cardio and weights (at least an hour combined) helps me lose.

I agree with Beth!! But it is a step in the right direction!
Better then not doing anything,...one step @ a time.. keep it up!!

I was starting like that--and now I just do that for cardio (well 30 min) on the elliptical and then I switch up with 30 min. of circuit training (like the Curves workout at my gym) and alternate with other weights and machines on other days.
start slow--Rome wasn't built in a day! when i first stepped on the elliptical -- i was barely handling 10 min. and a half mile. now i try and go as far as i can in 30 min., and with each time i'm getting more and more. right after that, i have a burst of energy and the heart is pumping and i actually WANT to use the weight machines. before i would run screaming from them!
