3-hour glucose test - questions
I was told I have to fast before taking this test. My appt. is for 9:30 in the morning. Can I drink water? When is the last time I can actually eat anything before this test?
Also, how bad is this test overall? Is the stuff they make you drink worse than the 1-hour drink?

i was told not to drink anything...but i was able to have a sip of water to take my daily medicine that i have to take when i wake up
i had the 2 hour test not the 3 hour and it wasnt that bad. i got a cold orange drink which was ok...i expected it to be much worse. i was very happy to get a cup of water once my last blood draw was over...the stuff just sits in your stomach

Yikes! No water in the morning? That's going to be torture. Especially now that I wake up so dry and congested.

I was able to drink water in the morning. The drink was no worse than the one hour drink, it was just a bit larger.

I also did the 2hr test...I was told no food or drink. I didnt take my meds that morning.
My drink was cold and didnt taste horrible, but it made me feel horrible. I ate 2 bananas as soon as i got home.
