3 Hour glucose test tomorrow - I have a question for those who failed the 1 hour....
Did you pass the 3 hour Glucose screening?
I got so nausea from that sugar drink- Especially after fasting for 8 hours & having blood taken.
I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow.

I failed the one hour with my second pregnancy and passed the 3-hour with flying colors.

With DD#1 and #2 I failed the 1hr but passed the 3hr Im just awaiting the results for my 3 hr the other day for DD#3

With #1 I failed the 1 hour by a few points, but passed the 3 hour.

Does anyone know what the "normal" range is? My doc said my readings came in at at 172 or something like that- which was higher then they want to see.

My ob told me 140 was the pass fail #, I failed by a few points, and passed the 3 hour. I did get really sick and vomit at the end of the 3 hour, the drink actually says on the bottle that it causes nausea. If you arent feeling well tell them, they can let you lay down somewhere, it may help.

My doc said 135 was the number needed to pass the one hour test. I came in at a 161.
I then took the three hour and failed. For the three hour you drink double the amount that you drink for the one hour and then have your blood drawn once before the drink and then every hour for three hours after the drink.
However, keep in mind that something like 80% of people that fail the one hour pass the three hour- so the odds are in your favor.

I guess I am the odd man out.
I failed the 1 hour and the 3 hour.
There are different ranges.
The first blood before taking the drink but having had fasted is supposed to be under 90, I think.
Then they change again on the three hours following the drink.
It was on the printout I had when I got the results.

Mr dr said passing was 129 and I got 135. UGH! I have my 3 hr test next week.

I know this is a couple of days old but I am judt discouraged that I failed my 1 hour, so this thread gives me hope!
Anyway - its funny, there seems to be a diff cutoff for diff doctors. I got a 139 and my doctor said the cutoff is a 136 so I just failed it. I really hope I pass

I did - with better numbers than with my 1 hour. They had me fast for my 3 hour but not my 1 hour - not sure why. I got really sick feeling during the 3 hour though.
