3 hour glucose test... UPDATE
Well I am glad I got it over with. It wasnt that bad. I read my book and watched TV there and the worst part was the needles going in the already sore arms.  But wish me luck on the results!! 
UPDATE:
Well I failed.  I got 2 borderline numbers and one way bad one. So now I am "high risk" and they are sending me to the Madonna doctors in West Islip (or Babylon) for special treatment.  I woke this morning hoping that was a bad dream but I keep trying to tell myslef that this will be the first of many sacrifices I will be happy to make for my child.

Not sure. I have the regular doctors appt tomorrow, I hope he has the results then but I am not sure. I will will update!

Sorry you failed. But on a good note the Madonna in West Babylon is a nice place. It is clean, the people are all friendly and they are organized with their appointments.

I'm so sorry to hear you failed. My mom is a diabetic, so I am already setting myself up for failure.
I think for the most part, they just put you on a GD diet.
And the PP is right, Madonna in W Babylon is awesome!! They did my ultrascreen and I was really impressed with them.

I am so sorry you failed. I had GD with my first pregnancy and I remember how I felt. Feel free to FM if you have any questions or want to talk. Know it isn't your fault - it is just how your body handles things. I use to go to teh Madonna in Babylon for my 'High risk" stuff and they were very good to me. I had a bad experience with the nutritionalist in the madonna in Mineola and the high risk dr in Babylon ordered me never to talk to her again and veen ordered me to have a glass of wine to relax - lol!!! I listened to the first but skipped the 2nd piece of advice.

Thanks girls!
I made the appt with the nutritionist at Madonna for next Wednesday so at least I am getting on this quickly and they said I have to order the home testing kit from my insurance co.
