3 month old activities and toys
What activities and toys do your 3 months old like? (Or when your DC were that age). DS is 12 weeks and he likes mirrors, crinkly things to hold and they FP Rainforest bouncer. But he's getting more active and I want to get him some toys!

Re: 3 month old activities and toys
Mason loves his playmat more than anything... he can stare at the Baby Einstein musical star all day and touch all the things that hang down from it.
He just got into his exersaucer, but he's also 5 months so I'd wait on that.
Def loves music. I take his stuffed animals and when DS is in his bouncy (and I remove the toy from it) I put on a show and he loves that. Also, story time and some rattles. Although he still is working on trying to hold it and when he does he manages to hit himself in the head with it.

Both are recommended for 3 mo.+

Re: 3 month old activities and toys
Oh and talk about "old school", the other day I brought her into daycare and she was actually awake (LOL) so I put her in a boppy on the floor and the teacher gave her this and she went NUTS!! (I just ordered for her and can't wait for it to arrive!):
Skwish Classic
Skwish appeals to baby’s visual and tactile curiosity, making this sophisticated toy a source of wonder and learning. This classic wooden toy has won the hearts of babies and parents everywhere, as well as numerous prestigious awards for its ingeniously simple design.

Re: 3 month old activities and toys
DD loves this. Shes 3 months tomorrow and I hold it up to her when she is on her tummy or in her bumbo. She puts her hands all over it. She doesn't have the coordination to move much except the barrels at the bottom yet, but she loves when I make the noises with all of the things.

Re: 3 month old activities and toys
DS is 12 weeks also and he's really getting into his play gym lately. He also likes looking at pictures in simple books and loves when I talk to him with his Elmo puppets. He loves his Baby Einsten Star and and other musical/light up toy. The "O" ball is great because he cal grab it easily. He likes his musical gym and likes swatting at the things to turn it on. She GRABBED IT out of the teachers hands (she totally is not grabbing at anything at home with out us coaxing her) and her eyes got HUGE when she saw it!
From what I could tell before I had to leave, she would put it in her mouth and grab all different parts and it's also one of those things that "opens & closes" so I guess that fascinated her as well.
(ETA: I actually don't think the one I posted opens & closes ... and now that I think about it, I wonder if the one at daycare does or not )
