3 year old - Book recommendations
Can you recommend good books for a 3 year old? DS is turning 3 and I want to get him some books - nothing character based....meaning books that aren't Sesame Street, Thomas, Bob the Builder. Looking for something a bit more unique. We just got "The Tickle Monster" for XMAS with the gloves and DS LOVES this book. It comes with tickling mitts.

Re: 3 year old - Book recommendations
Discovery Toys Pirate Pete. The book has pull out pieces so it is a mini choose your own adventure book. My kids love it. The ending is sweet - the last thing you select is "the perfect gift for mom." They have a girl version too, but some of my frends find that ending not as great. I am not bothered by the girl version - I have not gotten it for DD but will when she is older. The girl version ends by her getting married to her prince.

Re: 3 year old - Book recommendations
Love the tickle book!!
My DS loves: (almost 3) Dr. Seus Books Richard Scary's - Car's and Trucks and things that go and busy busy town (although I hate these books - so long) Bread and Jam for Alice and Gloria's Bday - I can't think of author but it is a whole series of books, they are raccons...popular Where does the Garbage go - (there is a whole collection of sciencey books) Oh - and the little golden books are his new fave of the month
and of course the book I wrote (Captain Terry the Pirate Cow's adventure to Italy) - just wanted to throw that subliminal hint in! ;)
