We need your prayers- UPDATE 10/10
I don't usually do this, but I have seen the power of prayer on this website, and although I dont' know any of you personally, I feel a part of this community...
DH, DD and I left for our much anticipated vacation with my family in Houston, TX on Saturday night. We were so excited to make it down here...with the hurricane, we weren't sure we'd be able to. But we got here safely and on Sunday we had a big BBQ and spent time playing in the pool and hot tub and enjoying our time.
Sunday night as we were readying for bed, DH said that he had a pain just above the end of his sternum. Within 5 minutes, the pain intensified and had him doubled over. We spent a few hours trying to get the pain better (we thought maybe dehydration) and trying to get DD back to sleep (she was fitful)...DH laid down in the game room after bringing me a bottle for DD. He fell asleep and woke up after about 45 minutes. When he went to stand up, he couldn't use his left leg.
We headed for the hospital about 4 am and after a very long day with no answers, and no ability to move his leg he was admitted around 7pm last night. They are doing many tests and think now it's either a virus or some sort of auto immune problem.
DH still can not move his left leg, and his right leg is weakened severely. We were due to come home tomorrow, but he will be in the hospital at least to Friday or Saturday. And we do not know what travel restrictions might exist beyond that. My Mother is flying down tomorrow, to help with DD. My family has been great, but they have their lives too, which include two other little girls under 18 months...
So, if you could all say some prayers, or offer good thoughts that we can find what is wrong and that DH will be able to walk again, it would be appreciated. We don't know when we'll be able to get home and back to our apartment, our cat and DH's entire family.
Thanks for reading all this if you've gotten this far and thank you in advance for the prayers....I am hoping they will be received and DH will WALK out of the hospital
