in more cases than not, everything is fine. I know TONS of people who have had concerning sonos, and in the end the babies were absolutely 100% healthy.

Thank you ladies for all the I will definately keep everyone updated. I might be taking a couple days off from the boards but will be responding via FM & lurking.
I just need some time to get my thoughts together & really understand what is going on. I just love my mom bc she said it best to me tonight "No matter what the outcome is,we will still be parents in less then 6 weeks to a little boy. It might be more difficult then we imagined, but we will get through this just as we did to get pregnant with him" That is going to be my food for thought & hopefully saving grace until our little guy can join us

I hope they have an update for you on Monday. It sounds like they are concerned about hydrocephalus which means that there is a build up of cerebral spinal fluid in the brain. Based on what I know, and I'm not an MD but my work involves neuroanatomy, if the problem doesn't resolve on its own, they may place a shunt in the brain (a little tube) just to drain the excess fluid so it doesn't put pressure on the brain tissue. Children do just fine after this. Ask a few more specific questions about where the fluid build up is - the brain has 2 hemispheres, 4 lobes, and a ventricular system - ask if they see enlarged ventricles. I agree that you shouldn't look online, it will just unnecessarily scare you. Praying for you and your baby.
