35wks preg. and the baby is still breech! 3rd trimester ladies, is your baby head down?
i had my growth sono yesterday and they said the baby is in the breech position! yikes! what are the odds the baby will go head down? i feel like the space is limited, i doubt it will turn around.

Mine isn't heads down either. It's transverse at nearly 36 weeks.
The doctor has already scheduled me for a c-section at 39 weeks just in case the baby doesn't turn.
Have you been scheduled? I hear it's harder to book c-sections as you get closer to the holiday season...
Anyway, the doc. said there's a 50/50% chance the baby will move between now and the c-section date.

Don't know about mine but this just came up at my pre-natal yoga class the other night. One girl was 37 weeks and her baby was still breech. The instructor is also an experienced doula and she said there was still time for the baby to turn and some tips were to put an ice pack at the top of your belly (the babies don't like it so they'll move away from it). Also, put headphones on the bottom of your belly (they like the music and the vibration and will move toward it). Maybe give that a try. There's also different body motions that can attempt to help them move. Let me see if I can find it on her blog.

I am 29 weeks and at my appt yesterday, she said the baby's head was down.
It was breech at my 20 week appt.
I think you have a chance that the baby will turn.

Re: 35wks preg. and the baby is still breech! 3rd trimester ladies, is your baby head down?
Found this on my yoga instructor's blog about helping to move babies from breech at your stage:
Breech Position
• Breech o Footling breech o Frank breech o Complete breech o Kneeling breech
Another issue some mothers face is the baby being in a breech position. This could mean the baby is standing straight up in the womb (footling breech), presenting butt first (frank breech), sitting cross- legged in the womb (complete breech) or the baby is kneeling inside (kneeling breech). Either way, very few doctors will deliver a breech baby vaginally. If a mother finds out her baby is breech, she is often anxious to help turn the baby around. Luckily, there are some yoga poses that can assist with this.
Poses to help turn a breech baby:
• Prolonged inversion like downward dog • “Butt up” child’s pose • Supported bridge pose • AVOID squatting, as it opens the outlet of the pelvis and invites the baby to wedge itself deeper down.
Beyond these specific yoga poses, acupuncture has been known to help. Also, you can try placing ice at the fundus since the baby will likely move away from the cold. Or, place music or light down at the pelvic opening since babies will go toward sound and light.

At my last sonogram at 29 weeks 5 days he was breech and I don't think he's moved because I still feel a bump on top. I am having a csection anyway so it doesn't really matter if he turns or not. If he's comfy he can stay that way! lol XOXOXO BOTB

Re: 35wks preg. and the baby is still breech! 3rd trimester ladies, is your baby head down?
I'm 31 weeks and is head down and in position. My best friend's was breech at around 34 weeks or so (I can't remember exactly) and the dr recommended playing music down low to try to get him to move into position and it worked! If it hadn't, I believe there was also a way she mentioned for the dr to massage/push on her belly to try to get the baby to move. Good luck!

Re: 35wks preg. and the baby is still breech! 3rd trimester ladies, is your baby head down?
DS was breech at 34 weeks, but was head down by 36 weeks and let me tell you, DS was born at exactly 40 weeks, 9lb14oz and 22.5 inches, so if he can turn, it still totally possible.
And about c-sections, DS was born on Dec 20th via scheduled c-section at St Catherines, we made an appt on Dec 18. So getting a c-section appt close to the holidays being difficult vs easy all depends on the hospital and drs.
A friend had a c-section at Winthrop in late june, they booked it like 3 week in advance "just in case" because winthrop is apparently very busy.

Re: 35wks preg. and the baby is still breech! 3rd trimester ladies, is your baby head down?
I'm 32 weeks, and as of last week baby A is breech and baby B is head down but not exactly vertex. I was told a couple of months back that after 32 weeks it would be pretty much set in position, as there would be really no room left to turn. This is with twins though.
ETA: baby A was vertex for many many weeks and decided to turn very recently.

is head down and off to the left. My belly has been lopsided recently especially at night. It's good that the baby is head down, but I don't think is in the best position right now.

I am 29 weeks and don't know where my baby's head is...lol...
Sometimes I feel something hard near my belly button...would that be it?
How can you tell if you're breech?

was head down at my 33 week growth sono. I think she will stay with her head down...I can feel her butt and her feet, so I know she's still head down as of now! Hope turns itself around for you!!!
