38 weeks pregnant-go to Yankee game?
I was just offered INCREDIBLE seats to a Yankee game this Wednesday. My 2 hesitations are:
1) I am 38 weeks pregnant 2) Kiera has her gymnastics class and it will be the last one I can take her to before my c-section.
I'm not too concerned about going into labor because my doctor really does not think this is going to happen on it's own, which is why I am scheduled for a c-section. I also think that I'll be comfortable enough to enjoy the game. The seats are field level next to the Yankees dugout. I get free tickets a lot at work but have never gotten seats that are this good. I mean the seats are just amazing. But like I said I'm also not sure what to do because of Kiera's gymnastics class. I can schedule a make up but I won't be able to take her again until the end of June.
So I'm trying to decide do I go or do I try to take a rain check??? Not sure if I will ever get an offer like this again for seats. Why do I get offered this seats now??? Why couldn't I get them 3 weeks ago? So please share with me your thoughts...

if it were me, the way the yankees are playing now, i wouldn't go
seriously though, i would go. it sounds like a fun night out for you and your DH. plus, even if you did go into labor, it's not that far away from LI.
i don't have any DC yet (baking #1 ) but i would just take her to the make-up class... but that's JMO.

I know the opportunity is incredible. And I just know that I later after the pregnancy I'm going to be so upset that I missed it if we decide not to go. DH thinks we should go without a doubt. Especially since the doctor has basically told me there is no way this baby is coming out on it's own.
And it's also cap night!!! Plus since I'm not working that day we could go early and maybe get autographs since we would be right next to the dugout.

I would absolutely go! Just be sure to get up and walk around a bit so your tush doesn't get too sore from the hard seats

Go and have a good time. You can take your DD to her next gymnastics class and it can special time for the 2 of you to spend together, without the baby. Have a great time!

Definitely go! I had amazing seats to a Mets game a few years ago- 1st row btw third and home, and it was such a fantastic experience. I paid and arm and a leg to get the seats for my Dad and I [Father's Day gift] so the fact that yours are free is even better!! I would schedule a makeup for your daughter's gymnastics class.

We were just given Mets tickets and I plan to go (I'll be over 37 weeks). It's an afternoon game and I plan to find the elevators! I think it will be fine plus it is a chance for DH and I to go out before the little one comes. I don't think I'll make it to another game soon.

Re: 38 weeks pregnant-go to Yankee game?
I know your not worried about going because your 38 weeks pregnant....let me share a little story...I am a travel agent, my office was invited on a 2 nite cruise to no where 12/18 - 12/20 from NYC...everything FREE (drinks & food), did I go??? No because it was Hayley's first Christmas show in Preschool and I didn't want to miss it. Who knows if we will ever get offered something like that again but at least I was there to see her jingle her bells in her 1st Christmas show.
So the moral to my story is....take Kierra to her gymnastics class

Re: 38 weeks pregnant-go to Yankee game?
Thank you everyone for your input. We decided to go and we are taking Kiera with us. I am going to try to get Kiera into a make up class this Saturday so that I still get one class with her before the c-section. If not I take comfort in the fact that I have been to every class of hers throughout this whole pregnancy.
Who knows when I'll be able to take her to another Yankee game so we decided that these tickets. It's just too good of an opportunity to pass up.
