3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

at 37 weeks, the pressure "down there" is almost unbearable....

I am still working, but when I get up from my desk, it takes a while for it to subside....like a very uncomfy walk to the restroom.....

how uncomfy are you getting? And what is the "worst" complaint you have now?

It really isn't that bad, I am in my office most of the day, and my chair is super comfy! I guess it depends on what you do...my friend is a flight attend. and had to stop very early...

so anyone else experiencing this pressure??????

I have the same pressure. I am a nurse, work 12 hours shifts and am on my feet most of the day. At times, it gets bad at work. I am on vacation this week and dont know if I will be going back after this week. Sometimes the pressure is painful. That is really my worst complaint now.

I definitely have that!

I also find that if I have to pee... I'm okay to wait a bit, but then when I stand up... I feel like I need to RUN to the bathroom! Chat Icon

The thing that's bothering me most is that my clothes don't fit anymore... and I'm NOT buying anything else!

Also, nighttime is becoming pretty bad! My hips ACHE, my sciatica is off the charts, and lately every night I've been getting this pain that I can only imagine is my pubic bone stretching or loosening or SOMETHING!

Nighttime is the worst for me too! My pubic area feels unbearably terrible sometimes!

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

The pressure "down there" is greater in the morning and at night....specifically when i get up from my comfy couch or bed.

I stopped working at 38 weeks....so i dont have to worry about being in the office anymore....thank god!!!

My BIGGEST complaint....and its definitely wayyyyyyy TMI....every time i sneeze...cough....get up from my couch or bed or chair....i have no bladder control whatsoever!!!!! Its so gross!

My clothes dont fit anymore....especially my shirts so i pretty much wear the same thing every day!

I don't look forward to bedtime....AT ALL....since i wake up 5-7 times a night to go to the bathroom..i am NEVER comfortable and i think i may have restless BODY syndrome!

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

Hi ladies -

Ah the joys of the 3rd tri!

When I was 36-38 weeks I had the WORST pressure down there. Walking anywhere was difficult and really painful. Now at 39 weeks 2 days it doesn't seem as bad - but maybe I've just gotten used to it? Don't get me wrong, it still hurts, but it's not the same intense pressure I felt before. My doc says that sometimes the baby transitioning/dropping is more painful than it actually sitting lower in the pelvis.

My biggest complaint is how tired I get so quickly. And the aching back and legs and feet after walking for a while. Sleeping is a PIA too, but I'm used to getting up 3 times a night now.

The good news - we're almost thre. I have 4 days till my due date!!

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

Thats my complaint. I teach and lately Ive been trying to sit while teaching bc my legs/feet hurt but then when I get up the pressure is horrible. Also the baby is pushing on my bladder so I literally have to go to the bathroom at least once an hour (which is not easy being a teacher) so after each period I literally run down the hall to our 1 stall bathroom. Everyone knows if they see me coming to let me go first or i might burstChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I have the same pain. Walking around is sometimes almost unbearable.

But, my worst complaints are a) nothing fits me and I feel so gross...just want my body back 2) Finding sleeping positions is horrible and some nights Im lucky to sleep a few hours!

Hang in there ladies...Its almost over. 46 days for me!! And hopefully a few less....Come on baby...

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

Wow I have all of these complaints. Nothing fits, I am down to one gross comfortable outfit but I'm not working anymore so that 's ok. My hips were hurting really badly but today that's better. I can't walk anymore! And yeah, I've been getting that shooting pubic pain but all my complaints are worse on my right side which seem s to be where the baby always is. I guess if I had to pick, my number one complaint is that I can't sleep and if I actually am lucky enough to fall asleep, changing position is so painful! It's like a sack of bricks on my body. Can it really be ok to be this pregnant and sleep so little? Ok phew vent over, thanks I think DH is sick of listening.

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

I've had a little of that pressure, but nothing too much, so I'm not looking forward to this. I think its because Chat Icon is still sitting up pretty high.

Now on the other hand, my sinuses are killing me, I can't breathe freely, and I have crazy heartburn!

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

Worst complaints:

Every time I stand up, Chat Icon is right on my bladder so I constantly feel the urge to go badly when I stand up and then have nothing to give.

When I first get out of bed in the morning, my back is so stiff and sore, I can barely get myself up.

The never-ending eating issues. From aversions to fish and chicken to horrendous heartburn to the general lack of wanting anything in particular to eat. As a foodie, this might just be the worst one of all.

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

this made me feel so much better. I'm 37 weeks today, and just started feeling this pressure business, and it freaked me out! I thought it might be the start of labor.
Guess not!

My biggest complaint is how swollen my feet get. If I am on them for more than an hour, they blow up. NO shoes fit. no socks fit. Flip Flops or my fake uggs are the only things I can wear.

I also have some bad back pain and insomnia. Today was my last day of work!!!

Re: 3rd tri girls...let's be honest...

OMG it's soooooo nice to not feel alone Chat Icon I have bad lower and upper back pain and after sitting, laying, walking, and or standing for any extended time I am so stiff and sore that I limp for a few minutes until I loosen up. Working is getting much harder so i'm just hoping to make it until after the New Year since I have a feeling Penaut will be coming before her edd of 01/20/10. I have found that tylenol and heating pads on my back really help, and taking my time when I first stand, sit, or walk makes it a bit better. I have had to take a few vicodin for the muscle spasms I get in my thighs and the siatica(?) This has been an ongoing horrific issue throughout the pregnancy.
