3rd trimester girls: anyone feel like they're ready...but not really ready?
I'm 37 weeks and I'm so ready to be done -- I'm SO finished being pregnant and would be thrilled if I went into labor right now. The baby's room is set up, meals frozen, house cleaned, hospital bags packed....
BUT when I start to think about it and realize that once I go into labor it means that there's going to be a BABY in our house and how my life is going to change and I'm going to be a mom....I start to panic and think "omg I'm not ready!"
Anyone else having conflicting feelings like this right now??

I think that is totally normal. You are due the day after me and I've have felt the same way. I'm ready to have the baby but I hope that I'm prepared for everything that comes along with bringing the baby home. I'm so anxious these days, I can't wait to have him/her here!

I'm due the day after you and I'm feeling the same way! Being 36 weeks pregnant and thinking YES I have 4 more weeks to not have to worry about what a baby needs but being so incomfortable I rather have the baby here. I'm so confused lol. I go monday to set a date for my c-section and I'm so happy because I'll be going almost 2 weeks earlier but then I'm freaked that I only have 2 weeks. I've been a mess the last few weeks with going back and forth on wanting to go and then not wanting!

I am 34.5 weeks now - I don't feel like I am completely over being pregnant yet - but lets re-visit this in another couple of weeks.... I am not ready for baby to come out yet.....
Room is done, bag is mostly packed - I am getting there - but it seems like the 37-38 week mark is the turning point...

I am 35.5 weeks and I was just thinking about this very feeling this morning. I am so done being pregnant and can't wait to not be a human incumbator anymore but at the same time i know when i do go into labor, everything will change and there will be a baby here and so much to do. I want this baby to come but at the same time i don't.
Can i ask waht you did for frozen meals? Im not sure what to do for that for the first few days we are home from the hospital.

im only 25 weeks so im not where you are yet..but im no where near ready for a baby in the house. i have no clue as to taking care of an infant, feedings, etc. thats what overwhelms me.
giving birth scares the bejesus out of me, but coming home with the baby is even scarier.

Totally and completely conflicted too! this is my second time around so you think i'd be al prepared and ready etc.. i still have a lot to do before arrives. i am also nervous about my DD's reaction to the baby and the sleepless nights ahead, the fear of PPD, hoping DS is not colicky like DD! but yet i want to be DONE being PG. i am huge and miss my old body i am 37.5 weeks now.

Yes! I get nervous thinking about how the baby will be home with us! But everyone keeps telling me that i should be worried that things work out and come sort of naturally. I am very excited but it is started to be a little nervous excitement. When I see other moms I think, "WOW they have it so together!" I hope I can be as "together" as they are!

I'm 39.5 weeks and everyday feels like forever!
I'm so ready to be done being pregnant....maybe like 1% of me likes being free like this...but I know how its going to be a struggle in the beginning and I want to get that part over with!
Plus everyday people asking me, "no baby yet?".....answering that makes it feel like FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my thought exactly! I see all these other first time moms who just gave birth a few weeks or months ago and they seem so calm and put together -- like it all fell into place naturally. But I feel like I'm going to be a nervous mess, not knowing what to do, getting overwhelmed by the crying and the sleepless nights...
I also have a history of panic attacks and anxiety, so a big fear of mine is that once the baby is here, my anxiety will get the best of me

I froze a big tray of baked ziti, chicken francais, 2 different containers of meat sauce, and then I bought a bunch of packages of chopmeat and chicken cutlets and froze them so DH can make a few different things if he wants.
Since its the summer, you could even just get hot dogs and hamburgers and freeze them for DH to grill.
I'd do even more, but our freezer doesnt hold much and I'm already having trouble finding ways to fit everything
