3rd trimester ladies: Extreme exhaustion

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I will be 33w tomorrow & this entire week I am fighting to keep my eyes open. I go to bed at 9 & up at 5:30 but it doesn't seem to be enough. I can't even get out of bed in the am anymore...

I am sitting at my desk contemplating asking my boss to let me leave bc I can't keep my eyes open. Is this normal?

Totally! (I just commented on CaseyGirls post yesterday about this) At the end of my pregnancy, I was falling asleep at my desk constantly! The exhaustion the last few weeks was so much worse than in the 1st trimester

Yes! My exhaustion has gotten so much worse in the last week or two. Yesterday I woke up, brushed my teeth, had breakfast, then sat on the couch to watch Good Day NY. I woke myself up snoring about an hour later! I feel so lazy too, but I am physically just tired. I am 33 weeks.

Yes, I am very tired too. Some days worse than others. I am 35 weeks. I have slowed down a lot in the last two weeks.

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: Extreme exhaustion

YES! Totally normal. I just posted about it...at work esp towards the late afternoon, I literally just want to shut my door and turn the lights off and take a nap. When I get home from work I have stuff to do but I'm dragging...and I almost always fall asleep on the couch but that's nothing new. The other day, like I posted, I had like a 12 hour sleep marathon which hasn't happened in ages! It's hard work carrying around an almost full grown baby and working full time Chat Icon

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: Extreme exhaustion

I totally felt this way! I was 36 weeks and one day and I had to take a day off of work because I was soooo exhausted! By the way - I ended up having DS the next day! Your body is telling you something...

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: Extreme exhaustion

Thanks ladies, I am glad that I am not the only one! Yesterday I got home from work & slept for 2 hours & then went to bed at 9! I told DH last night, I am starting to rethink the "working until the bitter end" Chat Icon

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: Extreme exhaustion

I find it ebbs and flows. I had this last week (31w) and all I kept thinking was omg, how am I going to make it to 39w??? But then this week it's much better. I'm still exhausted, of course, but not that unbearable exhaustion. I vaguely remember the same thing with DS.

I'm 28 weeks.. went to bed last night at 8 and was up at 7. I'm still tired. It's like the first tri all over again.

Totally normal. I thought I was going to literally pass out at times from the exhaustion.

Me too, I am not working until the bitter end, I am taking a few weeks off before, even though my plan was to work until the end.

I am also tired, I feel good until about 2 PM then I am ready to Chat Icon

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: Extreme exhaustion

This week has been especially bad for me. I get up in the morning and even with a shower i feel like I just can't get moving. This morning i woke up and took a shower and then proceeded to take a nap! Yesterday i couldn't drag myself to do anything. I am 35 weeks.
