3rd Trimester Ladies with toddlers?
How are you doing? Is your DH stepping up to help you with things you can't do anymore like give DC a bath, picking them up for diaper changes etc... I'm curious to know how your handling yourself in this last trimester.
I'm 33 weeks and I also have an active 19 month old (weighing 33 pounds). I can't hold him anymore and I look to DH for support. I get so worn out just changing his diaper and I have to becareful with all the kicks he throws during the diaper change. All of a sudden I'm feeling all the pressure down there and I'm already starting to do the "waddle" walk.

Re: 3rd Trimester Ladies with toddlers?
I'm 32 weeks and and have a very active 26 month old son. Unfortunately, my husband is never home. Besides his daily job all week, he has started his summer job and works weekends as well. So for the month of June I'm all alone. It is really hard.
I change my DS on the floor because he is too heavy to pick up. We don't go out that much because he's a handful. We hope for nice weather so that we could be in the backyard otherwise we're hanging out in front of the tv, which is really bad. Yesterday we went to the Broadway Mall which has an indoor playground. My DS was happy running around and playing in there for over 2 hours.
Some days I feel like I'm going to lose my mind. As horrible as it sounds, I look forward to 7:30pm when I could put him in bed and relax.

Re: 3rd Trimester Ladies with toddlers?
I have a preschooler (3.5 years old) which makes it a little easier because she's more self sufficient these days.
I've just had to get a little more tough with her, and ask for more help from DH. I can't pick things up around the house as easily anymore, so I make a game out of it with DD, or I just flat out tell her that it's really hard for mommy to bend down and pick things up because of the baby, and ask that she put her stuff away. After a few times of threatening to put every toy and piece of clothing that was laying on the floor and out of place in the garbage, she started helping me out tremendously.
I was bleeding in my 2nd trimester so I haven't picked her up since then, and I was just honest with her - that mommy's doctor said that mommy can't pick her up anymore because it hurts the baby. She's been totally fine with it.
And, DH definitely picks up more slack these days - he gives her all her showers, he picks her up when needed, takes her places while I rest, makes dinner for us every night and even cleans the dishes after because it's becoming too much of a stretch to even lean over the kitchen sink to wash the dishes!

Re: 3rd Trimester Ladies with toddlers?
Well I only made it to 37 weeks and 2 days - but unfortunately I had to do it all on my own. I have a high spirited 23 month old - and she climbs everything she can and fights every diaper change etc. I gave up on using the changing table and tricked her into changed on the floor using distractions. I did carry her all over however until I delivered - but she is only about 24 or 25 lbs so that is lighter than your son. She was a total handful - but I did my best to try to contain her to a smaller space (less places to get in trouble) and kept her occupied as much as I could. I also had my mom come over after work in the late afternoons so that I could get a short break and my mom would take her to the playground or park etc. I was VERY uncomfortable my 1st pregnancy - but this time around I was actually pretty mobile and still taking DD to her classes up until the week I delivered.
Do you have a family member or friend who could stop by a little bit each day to give you some sort of a semi break?
