4 schools in Maryland closed due to swine flu
1 in my county. These are *probable* cases, but not definitively confirmed. I guess the state has decided any likely cases warrants a school closure for TWO WEEKS.
BTW- at each school, there was just 1 student who had been sick- not multiple students,

That is extremely excessive considering it is a probable case still. There is no need to close a school for 2 whole weeks. The incubation period for swine is approx. 4 days, depending on what source you look at. A week tops.

Re: 4 schools in Maryland closed due to swine flu
I'm not making the decisions- just the messenger. All the articles/reports are stating "UP TO fourteen days" so I suppose the time closed could change. I know they are wanting to disinfect every inch of these school- but thats ALOT of disinfecting.
The *school count* has now upped to 6 and it's expected it will rise.
