My sister is pregnant! Due 1 week after me!

This is so crazy!!!!
This is her second, and my first.
When I told her I was preggo - like the day after my BFP, she told me that she just got her period, and is so glad because she wanted to be a few months after me, so our mom could spend time with each of us after we deliver.
Well, she didn't have her period, she had implantation bleeding. We are due one week apart.
How crazy is that!!!????

She said she was scared to tell me, she thought I would be upset. Of course I'm happy for her, but to be honest, I do wish she waited a month or two (is that terrible?)

My poor mom- I don't know what she's going to do - I live in Brooklyn and my sis lives in Rockland County!

My sis and I also probably won't be able to be there for each other for our deliveries. I was there when she gave birth to my nephew, and that was amazing.

This is such a happy time, but I am also so scared for both of us - we both have tests we are waiting on, so if you could put some prayers in for us, we would appreciate it!!!

congrats and lots of s to both of you...It's such a wonderful thing to go through pregnancy with someone as close as your sister. I can understand wanting her to wait-- but think how lucky you are--your kids will be so close in age and you'll have someone that you're close to to share all the ups and downs of pregnancy.

that is fantastic!!!!! I was hoping my sister would start with her second when we were trying for #1!! My neices and nephew ages range from 3.5 yrs to 14. i would love for my sister to pick up the pace and have another so my dc will have a close cousin in age!

I love hearing stories like this because my sister and I were due--just like you guys: she with her second and I with my first--5 days apart.

I had the same small apprehension that you did. For a moment I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn't have the spotlight all to myself. That went away quickly though and it was great to have a pregnant sidekick!

In the end, we both had daughters and they are 3 days apart! I was able to be there for my niece's birth (as I was my nephew's 3 years earlier). She delivered the day before my due date. But she was unable to be there for mine--which was totally cool. She made up for that 20 mos. later when I had my 2nd DD.

The best part is even though they don't live so close (and also similar to you, I live in Queens and my sister lives in upper Westchester), Katherine and Kiera are the BEST of friends...seriously!! You will have so much fun!
