40 week appointment
I am still only 1 centimeter dilated, which I have been for 3 weeks!
So frustrating! I am so ready to have my daughter!

I can understand your frustration!
At my 40 week appt, I was not dialited at all! I actually cried at the office.
I wound up with a c-section 2 days later but that was because my son was almost 10 lbs!
Dont worry your little one will be here soon enough!

I go for a growth sono on friday, I think she is big also, my doctor thinks about 8-9 lbs. I was 11 lbs 3 ounces when I was born and my mom had my naturally!
Over 9 i want a c-section!

Good luck! My friend wasn't dialated at all at 40 weeks. 2 days later she went into labor. These things can happen very quickly.

Dont be scared. There are great benefits to having a big baby. First I am 2 weeks pp and down about 30 lbs! Second, since the first day my son has slept 4-5 hours at a time, including at night. He gets 4ozs around 11:30 and goes to bed until about 5am, has another 4 ozs and is back in bed until 9 or 10. Big babies seem to be better sleepers earlier.
And if you do wind up with a section, my section was a GREAT experience. I got to the hospital and within an hour I had my son in my arms! Plus my recovery has been fairly painless, Day one I was on pain meds and didnt really feel a thing, day 2 i was out of bed walking around and sore (on pain meds) days 3-4 I was sore but only took motrin, and since I have been home I have taken tylonel 2x and thats it for pain. Some of the women in the hospital who had v births were in more pain than I was.
