40th birthday "beer theme" party
Planning a party this summer for DH's 40th at the house. We're sending the kids to sleep at grandma's. We have a pool and bar outside and planning on doing subs, pretzels, hotdogs and other "guy" or "bar" type food. Of course plenty of beer and will get plenty of alcohol too. Even a beer pong table. LOL
I saw some ideas on pintrist, but wondering if anyone has done something like this or other ideas. It's not a surprise, but I'd like to throw some surprises in there. Funny picture or something. Get a server so we don't have to worry about passing stuff around or getting drinks.
Would love some ideas or fun surprises. Thanks!

Get a beer cake made. I saw one where it looks like beer is pouring into a glass from a beer can. It was pretty cool!

I did a Jack Daniels themed party for DH's 35th...I found an artist on Etsy to incorporate DH's name and birthday/age and work it into the Jack Daniels logo.
Then I had that logo printed on beer koozies (also via Etsy) and gave those to everyone at the party to use and bring home as favors. You could do something like that, or cool bottle openers, if you want to do a favor?
I also went to a bakery with that logo and had them print it on a cake for him. It came out great and was way cheaper than having someone do a 3-D type cake.

I know someone who did this, had a few diff kind of beers as display- table holders for balloons.
As apps, do things that go with beer, Beer nuts, certain chips. Beer battered onion rings/fries.

I like the idea of Guinness or Stout cupcakes! I always prefer cupcakes to a whole cake.

These are delicious especially with Baileys infused frosting.
Also maybe a personalized bar sign.

love the beer coozie idea.
bacon on a stick being passed around, big pretzels, cornhole setup.
Sounds like a fun party!

We just did this for a friend and I found a lot of great supplies on Amazon with the theme "Cheers and Beers to 40 Years."
We got the beer cozies and a tshirt with the saying. It was cute.

A beer bar instead of a taco bar lol. Wings, jalapeno poppers, sliders, fried chicken sliders, anything bacon and smothered in cheese.
Sounds like fun!

My cousin had one for her boyfriend. I made her a beer cake (like the one with the beer pouring into the cake). She also had little items (t-shirts, beer cups) that said "Happy Beerday!" and she had beer themed foods (beer-cheese dip for an app, stout cupcakes). It was really cute.

I had DH and his twin brothers 40th at a brewing company. We had an acoustic guitar player, bocci ball, we had a Greek food truck do the catering. We ordered decorations from etsy and the favors were button beer openers with their picture on it.
