#45's ongoing fight with La David Johnson's widow

He's still going all-out to fight with Myeshia Johnson and what he said in the phone call.

On one hand, you have a soldier's widow, with absolutely nothing to gain from lying about what was said. On the other hand, you have someone with a very long history of saying the wrong thing, not caring about the military, being racist, inconsiderate, and always making himself out as the "winner", even when all of the fact prove otherwise.

I'm siding with the widow on this one...

And the previous recording of a totally separate phone conversation with a totally different widow has nothing to do with this scenario.

In that case, I guess Harvey Weinstein must be totally innocent, because there was that one time that he didn't sexually assault someone...

It's just so freaking bizarre!! I mean, with him, that really does go without saying, but here, the widow has nothing to be gained.
Let's pretend for one moment that the congress woman and the widow and the soldiers mother were all lying because they hate the jackass in the white house and want to make him look bad. Or, lets pretend he wasn't being insensitive and just, as usual, is completely inept at communication (such an awesome trait to have in a president, BTW) and he really meant to convey compassion but it didn't translate.
So, the widow and the family feel slighted. You don't ******* accuse them of lying and continue to berate them. You apologize for making them feel worse and express sympathy and condolences. End of story. Yes, it would mean admitting you are a buffoon but that is well established and it would make you look like slightly less of an asshole!
Every time we say he can't go any lower, he shows us how wrong he is. And the people who keep making excuses for him...I mean, I just don't get it.

That had to be the most horrible thing I have ever heard, he didn't even know the soldier's name for crying out load.
And then he broadcasts the "good deed" he's done, goes on to say that he has called more families than Obama ever did.

I take that to mean MORE SOLDIERS HAVE DIED UNDER YOUR TENURE IN ONE YEAR THAN DID UNDER OBAMA'S EIGHT YEARS.

Trump wouldn't be doing this if the widow was white. He wouldn't be doing this if the congresswoman was white.

The President of the United States is publicly calling a pregnant Gold Star widow a liar. This is where we are now.

I'm not surprised, he's just being who he is: a megalomaniac who cares for no-one except himself, his family and close friends. When he pretends to care (i.e. throwing paper towels), he usually fails miserably and then blames everyone else when people point out that he failed miserably.

His motto should be "Ask not what you can do for your country, but what you and your country can do for me." He's also probably pissed that this presidential gig is costing him money hand over fist.
