Re: Boycott Aruba?

I wouldnt boycott a country based on what happened by I do feel for this mother like many others have said in previous posts. I think she is desperate to keep the case alive and not let it die down or turn into a "cold case" .
i am afraid we will never really know what happened to that girl.

Re: Boycott Aruba?

Those of you boycotting, have you ever been there?
I was there last week of june to july when the heat of it was going on ( the father got arrested) and I have to say the locals are so soooo sweet, friendly, kind, went out of their way to make sure we were having the time of our life. It is unfair to boycott, b/c it is hurting the wrong people if you do. Aruba is beautiful, I cant even tell you how nice it really is, and there are very wealthy people there, you have to see a lot of these homes!!! and cars- hummers and mercedes all over the place.

Hey we all made bad decisions when we were 18 , she just wasnt as lucky as most of us. I would NEVER get into a car with strangers ever but I guess some will and have to be prepared for the consequences and I have heard on many occasions she went willingly.

Yes she is a good girl and smart, but maybe not street smart maybe she was sheltered. But how many of us went to spring break and did stupid things and are smart too? vacation always seemed like hey I can do anything- remember those days?

I will NEVER boycott Aruba or tell anyone too either. It is absolutely beautiful, SAFE and peaceful!!!! and what a joy to go away without being hassled shopping too!!!!

Re: Boycott Aruba?

i don't think my boycotting would help, considering i've never been there and really don't see going there in the future. no b/c of the case, but just have no desire to go.
