Fert report
They did ICSI on 4 out of the 12 and inseminated the other 8
None of the 8 made it and one of the ISCI'd ones didn't make it either
So, like the last time, we have 3 embrios -- please pray they all make it
Does anyone know why none of the inseminated ones made it?

They said they inseminated the 8 and yes we have male factor - low everything

I've never heard the work inseminate related to IVF...what do they mean?
But, if you have male factor, why wouldn't they ICSI all of them? I would ask your RE that.

Maybe they thought with the 4 they did ICSI in they would have enough to chose from - I don't know. But I hope and pray that all 3 develop beautifully and in 3 days time you will be telling us that you are transfering 3 grade-A embryos!!

Oh, the waiting is so hard...in the meantime I spoke to a friend who had a consult wth Dr Chu last week. She said that NS will ICSI the best looking eggs and leave the not so great ones to their own devices - so maybe thats the case

that sounds right. I have MF and they always ICSI most and do the rest "naturally", I asked once why and they said that sometimes if the egg isnt mature enough they will do it this way with hopes that it will mature in the dish and when it does the sperm will be there waiting.

That makes sense too - esp since there were 6 - 7 follies on the sono... and 2 - 3 seems ahead of the rest
