tough topic...I think that the decision to have a child is really up to each individual woman. I don't think that the goverment has a right to dictate who can and who can not have a child.
Although there are extreme circumstances....I dont believe that a known child molester should be allowed to care for any child.
So I guess my real answer would have to be...it depends on the individual circumstances...case by case basis.
they do when they are deemed unable to make decisions for themselves...
VERY FEW people are deemed able to consent to sexual intercourse!
I didn't realize that mostly they are not able to consent to sexual intercourse...so i guess if they do not have the capicity to understand the effects of intrecourse...that BC would be ok. My fear here though is that some sick minded individuals would take advantage of the knowledge that these females are on some sort of birth control and would take advantage of them.

I know it is a movie, but I instantly think of I am Sam, he was a great father. I think that it is up to each individual and hopefully they have a great support system.

Re: So first controversial topic for LIF
i have a friend i wouldn't say he is mentally retarded but he is slow his sister let him get married he is going to be married for 8 years if i am not mistaken his sister made him get fixed so he cant have any baby's which i find was wrong cause for him he is one smart person and he lives in a community place in port jeff station and he has been there for a long time. but his sister has control of his life and she had nothing to do with him only when she wants to talk to him she will. its sad because he is a very nice guy i use to drive his wife and him to places and they would make dinner for me but since i moved i cant do it anymore.
