I had this a few years ago. I had to wear the halter and I ended up having to go in for a surgical procedure where they put a catheter into your groin area up to your heart and they speed up and slow down your heart to look for any problems. Turned out in the end it was a medication that I had been on that was giving me severe palpatations. Feel Better Julz!! I am sure they are going to keep testing you til they rule everything out, because it is the heart. And even though its a pain in the butt having to keep going back, its a good thing that they are being so thourough!!

OK, I am back! That stress echocardiogram was probably the worst thing I ever had to do. I am so glad it is over with. The doctor said my results from this test are normal.
He did mention maybe I should stop taking the brith contral pills

Well, the time I ended up in the ER with palpitations and pain they thought I had a blot clot from the pill They ended up not finding one but the ER doctor tols me it is very common.
Then this Dr. said some of the problems I have may be from the pill, like the chest pain (although I hardly ever get it, just a few times) & headaches (not the palpitations). Also I think you are not suppossed to take the pill ifg you have heart problems?

Glad everything is normal. My doctor had asked me to get off the pill as well, I am so glad I did when he asked. It was poison in me.

Actually now that you said this I have heard this before. I think someone I worked with a while back was told the same thing. Can it just be the pill that you are taking? And maybe you can switch to another one

Yeah, I am going to soon. I was planning on it next year anyway before my Dr. said anything. I was gonna wait until next summer but now I might just stop at the beginning of the year.

I am on my third different pill already!
First Ortho-tro-cyclen, then Ortho-tri-cyclen Lo, now Ovcon-35.
Ovcon-35 doesn't do a think to help my cramps either.
I am sooo done with these pills.
