Are you a CARD person?

must you have a card with every gift you receive?

do you give a card with every gift?

personlly i could care less...i rarrely give cards with my gifts- and i dont need cards from people...

the only time i expect a card is from DH

everyone else- a call or well wishes or a gift is fine- hand written card not necessary

QUESTION
--------------
would you get MAD if someone gave you a gift without a card??

eta- by card i mean going to cvs or halmark and picking out a card for like 3.99 or whatever....I'm not talking a bout a small gift card so you know who its from...

I only expect cards from DH. A call or email from anyone else is fine.

Re: Are you a CARD person?

No! In fact, I'd rather not get them at all.

The only ones I like are Christmas Cards and that's just because I used them to decorate the house.

Ditto! Skip the cards...save the 7 dollars and stop making hallmark rich! I love the xmas cards but I cant find the time to send them out. Also I hate when ya have to go to a party and its the one thing missing...so u have to search and search for an open stationary store!

Re: Are you a CARD person?

I don't care about getting cards.

I have been trying to be a card person who remembers to send them for people's anniversaries and birthdays but it's just not me.

i would never be mad if someone didn't give me a card with a gift.

I only expect cards from DH! Other than that, cards are nice, but certainly not worth getting mad about a lack of them.

I have to say though, I was very touched by some of the cards I received when I had DD. People who I didn't expect to hear from, even without a gift, it was very touching to know that someone thought about me and made the effort to go get a card, write it out and mail it.

I almost always give a card with a gift, unless I forget.

Definitely not a card person. I'll send a card to a friend if I'm thinking about them, but don't care if I get them.

eh, I'm not really a huge card person. yes, I do buy them for everyone. but I wouldn't get mad if I don't get a card, but I always do.

but I admit... I did get mad at my DH when we first started dating and he never gave me a card. he always said "you know I love you, why do you need a piece of cardboard as proof? Chat Icon

he buys me cards now Chat Icon

Re: Are you a CARD person?

I don't NEED cards. I like getting Christmas cards and cards from DH.

Funny story. When DH and I were dating, he bought me a birthday card. My guess is, he bought it on his way to see me. How do I know this? The cover of the card said "Happy Birthday to My Friend" With and arrow between my and friend and the word GIRL written in.

Re: Are you a CARD person?

I love cards, but I love cards that you can tell someone actually put some thought into it... NOt those stupid generic ones.....

My favorites are the VERY few that I receive from my Niece & Nephew...they draw pictures and write nice things in them for me. BUT...I only receive them every once in a while because their Mom is not a "card person".

I don't care if I get cards with a gift - but I like getting them in the mail for my birthday Chat Icon

If I remember I send cards for anniversaries and bdays to family members & close friends

I don't like though when someone gives a gift and says - "oh sorry, I didn't have time to get you a card" - just don't give one or say anything

Re: Are you a CARD person?

I wouldn't care if I got a gift w/o a card - but I usually include one if I'm giving a gift. And for friends out of state that I don't buy gifts for - always send a card for birthdays and holidays.

Re: Are you a CARD person?

unfort I have already established myself as a card person and now its too late! I send cards to everyone for their birthday and for christmas. However, I dont expect one myself oddly enough. I dont care if I get one back or not. A call will suffice.

I always give cards with gifts. I like to receive them as well. I don't like lame cards that were just pulled from the 99 cent slot though. Put some thought into it!

Re: Are you a CARD person?

I'm not a card person. I didn't save any from the wedding b/c I didn't see the point.

I do give cards because I know that most people aren't like me so I try to get extra cool ones from Papyrus so that way if I have to give one, it's a little more unique.

Re: Are you a CARD person?

I usually give cards, but try not to spend more than $2 on them. I would never get amd at someone who didn't give me one.
I keep cards from family members. My sister is card happy - for every occasion you get like 3 cards, its ridiculous. My mom is the other way- her and my aunt have been recycling the same bday card back and forth to each other for 3 years- its signed, Guess Who?!
