Actually, yes, people can be that dumb. A girl my friend went to high school with didn't know she was pregnant until she went to the hospital for stomach cramps and the doctor told her 'guess what, you're in labor'
In her case, they think it was denial, but who knows.
If she is really confused, hopefully she'll go back to the doctor asap...
