When did you have your first U/S?

My doctor said my first appointment will be at 8 weeks. That seems so far away. I figured they'd do something before then. Should I ask to be seen sooner?

10 weeks, another at 20 and that's it at my doctor's office unless he thinks there is a problem.

Most doctors won't see you until you are in 8th week.

I had some complications in the beginning, I saw my doctor at 5 1/2 weeks and had my first u/s at 6 1/2 weeks.

I had mine at the first appointment at 6 weeks. They tried to get me to wait until 8 weeks and I told them that I had to let my cardiologist know I was preggo ASAP. I am high risk, that is why they did it early.

I had my first at 5w3d, but I am seeing an RE and not a regular OBGYN yet. So...I think with the RE they monitor you more closely since you were there for a reason anyway. I am going for my 3rd sonogram tomorrow and I will be 9w4d.

I had mine at 5 weeks but that was only because I was seeing a RE and was being monitored by them.

My doc didn't want to see me until I was 9 weeks along based on my last period. I had my first sono then, and I was only 7 weeks along (which I knew because I ovulated late!). So I would have had it at 9 weeks, but I voted 7 weeks.

With my son I had my first at 8 weeks and my second at 19 weeks.

With this baby I had my first at what I thought was 8 weeks... turns out I was actually 9 weeks. My next one will be between 18-20 weeks.

My first was at 7 weeks and 4 days.

Mine first appointment was at 6 1/2 weeks. My first US was at 11 weeks.

My first was at 9 weeks. That was to confirm that I was PG. Then I had one when I had my full exam at 11 weeks.

Thanks ladies!! So it looks like I'm right on schedule. I guess I thought it was earlier and more frequent. My girlfriend is PG and she has like a ton of sonograms. Every 2 or 3 weeks.

I just got back from my 2nd beta and they made the appointment for the end of my 6th week since the doctor will be on vacation for my 7th and 8th week.

I'm so excited!! I can't wait!!

Went to the dr. day I got my BFP, and they did one then. I was only 4 weeks and there was nothing to see. Based on my last period they were thinking I was further along, even though I knew I wasn't!
He had me come back the next week at 5 weeks for another one.

10 weeks which is tomorrow. I already had my first appt at 8 weeks but my dr's office only does 2 sonograms, one at 10 weeks and the other at 20 weeks.

First appt and u/s was at 8 weeks. It's a long wait but its worth it. Sometimes going too early and not being able to see the heartbeat makes you stress even more.

my dr wouldnt see me until 7 weeks and then they did an ultrasound that night.
