OK taking a poll, what kind of maternity leave do you get?

OK I'm taking another poll because I'm curious what everyone is getting.

How long have you been with your company?
How long is your maternity leave?
What percent of your pay will you receive while you are out?


I've been with my company for 5 1/2 years.
I get 6 weeks disability for maternity leave.
For the first 4 weeks I will get 80% pay.
For the last 2 weeks I will get 60% of my pay.

I work for the state so I cannot get STD. We get no designated paid maternity leave but we get 12 weeks FMLA unpaid. You can use your sick time for up to 8 weeks of that (whatever the DR writes you off for) and the rest is vacation time.

We are allowed to take up to 1 year unpaid child care leave with an additional year unpaid discretionary leave (if approved).

So what I did was I saved up my time and I took approximately 3 1/2 months. I was paid 100% of my salary but that's because I used my accrued vacation time and sick time. I wish I could have taken the full year or even 6 months, but we need my salary and I didn't have that much time on the books.

I live in PA and we don't get disability payments for maternity leave But, my firm paid my full salary for 6 weeks, and I used an additional 2 weeks of vacation, so I had 8 weeks paid. I took an additional two weeks of unpaid. I wanted to take more, but my firm was going through layoffs right around that time, so I thought it was important to show my face again. I've worked here for a year and a half.

I was with my company 8 years at the time of my maternity leave. I got 6 weeks 100% pay. 8 if you have a c-section. They also give you the 2 weeks prior to your due date at 100% pay. If you are late which I was by a week, I actually got three weeks at 100% pay then when I gave birth the 6 weeks at 100% began. This is standard it had nothing to do with how long I was with the company.

I've been with them almost 2 years.

I get 6 weeks for natural birth, and 8 weeks for a c-section. After that, I think it's 60% of my pay for short-term disability.

DH gets 10 days paternity leave

I've been with my company 3 years. I get the standard 12 weeks maternity leave, of which 36 days are paid at 100% (7 weeks). Then I can use my vacation time to cover the rest. I get 25 days, so I should be covered through the whole 12 weeks.

175 bucks a week of disability for 6 weeks. That's it.

LUCKILY, I am due when the school year is over!


ETA: JT gets 4 weeks paternity leave at 100% pay.

ETAA: We also have no sick days or vacation days or anything like that we can use. So you have a baby in the middle of hte school year, you're sh!t out of luck with getting paid.

I've been with my company for 8 years and I get 3 months maternity leave with 100% pay.

6 weeks of disabilty (since i had v-births)
100% pay for the 6 weeks

You have to be at the company at least 2 years to get the benefit fully paid.

Sick days/vacation days are unaffected by disabilty leaves. The day you return, you get the days you would have accrued while you were out back.

So I took 6 weeks @100% pay, 6 weeks unpaid of FMLA.

I've been here 6 years.

I have been with my firm since 4/1/04.
I am getting 12 weeks off.
No clue how much is paid. Waiting to find out.

I had been with my company for 6 years. I was allowed to take the standard 12 weeks FMLA, I got 8 weeks 100% pay (I had a c/s), and then I used 3 weeks saved vacation time and took 1 week unpaid

I am not working FT now, but this is what I got:

NOTHING

Basically my company relied on the state disability, which kicked in after being out for one week. For the state disabililty, I got $170 a week for 8 weeks (I had a c/s) which was given to me in one check, with taxes taken out!

If I had any saved up vacation or sick, I could use them while I was out. I had one weeks worth saved, so that covered only my first week out.

I took a total of 12 weeks because its allowed under FMLA, but basically it was unpaid except for the pittance I got from the state.

I am still being paid by my employer since they tried to let me go so im getting paid 13 weeks full pay for maternity. but after that I do not have a job I get severance and then i have to start over somewhere else. was with the company for 3 years.

I got 13 weeks 100% pay then I could take 12 weeks FMLA unpaid plus my vacation and personal time.

I got 2 weeks prior to delivery (due to a medical condition), and 14 weeks after. I got 80% of my pay thru our company's short term disability insurance - the $170 NYS disability paid me for a total of 8 weeks, I got an additional 2 weeks of NYS Disability because I had a c/s. Then I took the remaining time off at part-time pay because I checked e-mail and v/m and got on a few conference calls.

My company does not have a formal maternity policy so I got to write my own. I have a great boss.

I am here for 8 years...

I got 12 weeks from FMLA, 7 of those 12 weeks were $170 from the State (I had a c-section) the rest were unpaid.

MrsJ - my HR department sent in my paperwork for state disability.
