How did you tell your husband

you were preggo? I know how will tell my mother when its time, no idea how to tell DH.

i threw the test in his face lol

it wasn't planned, kind of a shock

i wasn't feeling well and my period was late so he said maybe you are PG. I'm like noooooo. So he got me thinking I ran to the store to buy a test.

Definitely was memorable.

We did IVF so it's a whole different story.

We were anxiously awaitig the call from the doctor's office ALL DAY .

When the doctor called me my DH was on the other line so I told him on the phone... if it was natural I would have wrapped a rattle or something.

I decided to test one morning at 5:00am because I was so sure that I was pg. After the test came back positive, I literally dragged DH out of bed half a sleep without saying anything and brought him into the bathroom. He just stared at the test for like 2 minutes before finally saying "OMG...your pg" I was like "yeah...I could have told you that myself"

I shook him to wake him up and was like um...I just took a PG test and there were 2 lines.

He was like "what does that mean?!?!?!"

email he was out at sea, and was supposed to call me that morning while i took the test but couldn't so I ended up just emailing him to let him know....horrible, i know.

My original plan was to wrap up little converse sneakers (DH"s favorite shoe) and give it to him, but that just didn't happen.

I took him to Friday's and brougt the test with me and showed it to him but he didnt know what it was and when I told him it was a pregnancy test he started to tear up. I wanted to buy a shirt but he had taken my car to bring my cousin the airport and his car was stick at the time and I can't drive that. I dont know what I will do with baby #2

well the 1st time i gave him the postive test in a box and he couldnt belive it happend so fast. That ended in m/c.


2nd time he was away and i kept textig hi all weekend saying still no Af. Then he calls on his way home and he said so how many tests did you take? i started laughing and he knew form my voice it was positive.also ended in m/c

third time it ws christmas mornign and i took the test with him tis time and we laid down on the bed and waited and two minutes later i looked and i started laughing and crying at the same time and he knew and couldnt belive we got pregnat three times in a row.

third time must be a charm i am due in 3 weeks.

First time - This was a very unexpected pg and I wasn't sure how to tell him, so I just blurted it out while he was watching "Law & Order:SVU"

Second time - I had decided I was going to wait to tell him after he took the bar exam. So the Sat evening before the exam, we had to take Nate to the ER when he had a high fever. They decided to do a chest xray bc he had a cough for 4 weeks and they wanted to rule out pneumonia. I was like OK I'll just have DH go in with Nate. So they go in and a few min later, DH comes out and says he needs me to help hold Nate down. I just say "I can't", he's like "why?", I then say "I just can't". Then in a sarcastic I know this just can't be even true voice, he says "What you're pregnant?". I just shook my head yes.

I showed him my sono pic the first time. I had no idea I was PG, and was at the GYN for a routine annual visit. I always had irregular periods and I told the doc we were TTC, but it was hard because I never got my period. So he made me pee in a cup and was writing the RX to start me on provera and clomid,when the nurse came in and said my test was positive. Doctor did a sono right then and there and I was already 6 weeks along

The second time I just told him while we were at Sesame Street Live with our son. I mentioned that Andrew might have been a little too young for it then (he was only 15 months old) and maybe we should come back when he's 2. Then I said, nah, I might be in labor then!!

We had been trying for a few months and nothing was happening. So then we forgot about trying because we were in the middle of moving from NC back to Brooklyn and trying to get PG was far from our minds.

I looked at the calendar one day and was like "hmm, haven't had AF in awhile" and my cycle has been like clockwork since I was 11 years old, never late once. I was now 7 days late.

I bought 2 tests on the way home and told DH when I got home what I thought. I took the test and made him read it. So he knew first actually. I asked what it said and he was like "what do you think it says?" I said PG? and he said, yeah. He said he already knew before the test.

I tested on a Sunday afternoon (after "spring cleaning") and waited. I saw the one line and figured "BFN again"..Turned around to get something looked back and literally did a triple take, saw the 2 lines (one faint). Ran into the computer room and dh said to me 'my eyes may be playing tricks too"..I tested again the next AM with digital, went calmly into the bedroom and said "hon, can I show you something"..I cried my eyes out, dh just held me. It was awesome.

I bought a card and shoved all the tests in there... when I handed it to him, he goes what the &(*^(% is this> EasyPass? Dope...
Then he said no way, no f-ing way, you have got to be SH****** me! SO basically I did it with a card...

At first I couldn't tell whether there was a line or not. I woke him up to ask him. I guess that is how he found out.

Dh and I weren't even trying so it came out of the blue - I realized first and so i went to the ob to confirm it...which of course she did...so I went out and bought a bib that said "i love daddy" and put it on a bear...I was originally going to wait until the next week for val. day to give him the bear and the test but couldn't hold it in...so I asked dh if I could give one of his val day presents early and he agreed (always eager to get gifts! ) - and of course, he didn't really get it - thought it was from the dog until I kept standing there...and then he was ecstatic!

We were trying for a long time, so when I took the test, I walked out of the bathroom, I had him inspect it - cause the line was VERY faint
