i need a theme for a get together...
My DH's friends wives have (once a month) a get together at someones house. well feb. is my month. invitations are sent out to each girl. we usually eat dips/chips, apps and of course drink. But i would love to have a theme... im so bad at being creative anyone have any suggestions TIA

i love that anti valentines thing
well noone usually dresses up but i could do that. i feel like i want them to do something when there here. like a game theme or bring a recipe. i i don't want anyone to be bored. i have this thing where i want to entertain.

Mardi Gras is a great idea(Especially for Feb)
Party Stores have great things for this!
Maybe a Winter Theme with the Signature Drink being Hot Chocolate w/ peppermint Schnapps(Tastes like a Peppermint Patty)!!!!!!

What about a grab bag for valentines day but make it jokes and sex.
Pick out of the grab bag
people pick out but you have the right to change the gift with the person after you. In other words the only person that can realy keep their original gift is the first person.
It gets crazy and its fun

ok i thought of a fun prize game but i have no idea what to do for the game...lol
i will buy beads. each time a person does _______ then they will win a set of beads and who ever has the most at the end of the party wins a prize a bought of some kind. HELP what kind of game can we play that does this

Fat Tuesday (I think is the end of Mardi Gras) is the day before Ash Wednesday - this year Fat Tuesday is Feb 28th, so your date is right in the middle of Mardi Gras.
I got a King Cake from my local bakery one year - they put a bake it with a little plastic baby in it - whoever gets the baby in their piece has good luck for the coming year.

Hurricanes! That's the Mardi Gras drink! You can get Pat O'briens Hurricane Mix at Big Daddys in Massapequa!! One of our favorite drinks!!

I believe the chinese new was yesterday. I like the Mardi Gras idea a lot. The St. Patty's them I liked too. I was thinking you could have everyone come in something with green. DH would love that...it's his favorite color. But then that would go better if the month were march.
Stick with Mardi Gras...your guests can wear fancy costume jewelry...or those masks...
