Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

I would laugh my butt off if my wife came up to me and told me she wanted to spend $200 on a new hair dryer. Chat Icon Chat Icon

As far as them breaking.... I think the one my wife uses she has had since she met me... or at least since she moved in with me (almost two years now). And I know she didn't pay a lot for it.

But I guess if she really pushed it... I would probably give in and let her get it. I am sure I have bought many things for myself that she could say the same thing.

But I would still LMAO.

Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

I would never. I have had the same $50 hair dryer for 2 years and I love it. I use it every single day. But, I have short straight hair to begin with....MAYBE if I had long curly hair and needed a really great quality one. But, even then i would be reluctant

If I had the money I would. My hair dresser tells me that the good ones (the real ionic ones) cost that much. I have the $40 ionic one.

No, but I'm not big into hair products and that sort of thing. Maybe if I was more into it, I would.

ok my pocketbook is liking this one.... my hair (even though straight and fine) takes forever to dry, this would save on electric alone

Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

I would if it got good reviews, especially if it's well made. I go through cheap blow dryers annually. (But then again "cheap" blow dryers are made to break. A little tidbit...back in the day, a friend of mine did some consulting work for Conair. He told them that they could make a significant profit, that all they needed to do was use cheaper parts so that the items would break more easily and customers would have to buy new blow dryers more often.)

I was hesitant to buy a Sedu flat iron b/c of the price ($150), so I settled for a cheap one.

Well my BIL is a buyer for Linens & Things, so he gave me a Sedu flat iron for free. It blows the other flat iron away!!!!!

I understand. Everyone's situation is different. Right now, I am being selfish, that will change once we start TTC.

If it dried my entire head and straightened it while I sat there reading the paper and sipping my morning coffee, yes I would. Otherwise no.
