( added Update07/11) Can I ask for prayers for my Friend who delivered her very premature son yesterday.
A friend at work had her baby Sunday night...at only 2 days short of 28 weeks PG. She had developed severe preclampsia ...she is an insulin pump dependant Diabetic and we knew it would be rough, but didnt think her son would arrive this early. Unfortunatly both Mom and baby took a turn for the worse Saturday and Sunday she had an emergency C-section.
He son was 1 lb 6 oz and is holding on.
please say a prayer he makes it through this difficult first stage.

Update 6-30 They did a brain scan and said it came back normal. This is Awesome news.
He does have a small hole in his heart, but this is also common in such preemies, and they are trying meds and growth to see if it heals itself, surgery wouldnt happen anytime soon.
still waiting on more tests, but hes holding his own well.
7/11 update- Baby is now 1 lb 8 oz's and still doing well. the heart hole closed up with meds( as it often does in preemies)!
Saw some pictures today and he is just so cute!
He is also 1 day off the ventilator andbreathign on his own which for his age and gestation is remarkable!
They still havent been able to hold him yet and basically they know he will be there another 10-14 weeks more in the NICU but the progress is good!
