HOnestly, I would stay away from soda whyle BFing, especailly diet. It is full of all kinds of stuff that you don't want in your body, much less in a brand new body of your newborn baby!

When I was BF'ing I drank diet coke, tea and coffee. I don't see a problem with it and my doctors didn't either

I personally stayed away from diet soda b/c of BFing mainly b/c when I drink diet soda the chemicals bother my stomach so I can only imagine what the artificial sweeteners would do to a little one. but that's just me, no official advice from care providers or anything.

i drink diet soda and crystal light too. i try to drink mostly seltzer and water, but it gets boring so i usually have a glass or two of diet drinks a day.

you should stay away from aspatame while you BF'd, my docsaid 1 diet drink per day. There is a "safe" diet soda called Hansens I use to buy it at Trader Joes, it tastes pretty good, they had creme soda, rootbeer, wild cherry check it out, it;s all natural ingredients

I drink diet coke very occassionally. I am more worried about the chemicals in Splenda and Asperteme than the caffeine.

Same here. I stopped drinking it the month before we TTC'd.

Thanks everyone!
I'm a little upset though because I wanted to start Weight Watchers again but that would mean only Diet soda. Of course I'd drink water as well, but I would need to drink some diet soda.  Boy, between that and not being able to workout for about 8 weeks really seems to make starting WW again pointless.
