Ok so here's a question...DH is playing a Fire Island gig starting at about 3pm. I considered bringing my kids but then decided to have a babysitter for the day. Friends of ours were going to bring their kids. Does that time of day change anyone's baby in the bar scenario?
It's funny you posted this. The first thought that came to my mind was Fire Island - babies in outdoor bars/restaurants. During the day I think its fine, even for dinner time I think its fine. That's the atmosphere out there and its acceptable.

Okay this is just my opinion.........WHAT A FRIGGEN IDIOT! How do you breastfeed a baby and drink? On top of it all, again my opinion, you don't bring a baby into a bar, and you don't dump the babies dirty diaper into a bowl that the waitress/waiter/bartender needs to touch. How digusting!

I'm not against bringing your baby to a bar, though I NEVER would, nor am I against breastfeeding in public, though I never did. Drinking while breastfeeding though and putting a diaper in a bowl? Disgraceful!

a friend of mine drank beers while breastfeeding. she said she checked with her Doc and he said it was fine, as long as you don't over do it.

When I was breastfeeding, my doctor said, remember whatever you put in your body, it gets passed to your daughter. I don't know. I just don't think it's a good idea to drink while breastfeeding, but I'm not doctor. I just know what my dr. said and I didn't touch a damn thing while she was breastfeeding.
